UKOPS Day 4 went reasonably well. guarantees totalled £27,000, all 6 events covered, & the resultant Prize Pools came in 18% higher at ~£31,900.
You might observe that this is not quite as good as Days 1, 2 & 3, & you'd be right, but that's to be expected, due to fatigue. Fatigue takes many forms, we can be pokered out, the wife or husband might want to go out for the evening or seize control of the lappie, or it can simply be that we are running out of money - bankroll fatigue. These are all real things. So the numbers are likely to decline gently for the rest of the week, though, one hopes, not too far below the Guarantees.
For perspective, this UKOPS Guarantees just over £400,000 spread across 64 events over 10 days. Now imagine the headache that PokerStars & their players face. The recent WCOOP ran for 21 days, had 219 events & Guarantees totalled.....$75 million.
It's all relative, right?
OK, on we go, we have 6 UKOPS events to cover today, plus the SPT Quarter Final & the Rewards Freeroll.

UKOPS 20 £5,000 Rebuy B/Hunter (£7,460)
Goodness me, look at the numbers for this one. 157 Uniques, 130 rebuys & 86 Add-Ons, resulting in a prize pool just a few shillings shy of 50% above Guarantee.
There's quite a debate rumbling on across the poker world right now about unlimited rebuys, following the WSOPE which had unlimited rebuys in several events which led to the farcical situation of one chap re-entering a €100,000 event 7 times, & Danny Negreanu buying - or rebuying - his way to WSOP Player of the Year. In fact he was in two Finals at once, & literally abandoned his stack in the smaller one as it was earning him POY points just by being in the Final.
Ludicrous really, & it needs controlling. The answer is not that easy though - many players absolutely love a rebuy, & if they can't have one on Site A they'll trundle off to Site B, C or D. As with most things in life, moderation in all things is where the answer lies. And I'm happy to see, from my lowly perch, that Sky Poker seem to have that balance just about right.
So, to the results, & it was terrific to see Arsenal fan miniman88 take this one down. There's a forum thread where miniman88 & chrisdonkB are having a private match bet, & it's really caught the imagination of the Forum regulars with over 1,200 views already, & with this result Views are likely to spike.
2nd was Palace fan cpfc_2010, while Stoke City fan (it takes all sorts) MAXALLY ran 3rd in a UKOPS event for the 2nd night on the bounce.

UKOPS 21 £10,000 Main (£10,300)
This one just about stumbled over the Guarantee line, in fact it had 94 Uniques & 9 rebuys, so without the Rebuys being available it would have missed Guarantee. Repeat that enough times & inevitably Guarantees get reduced. Tricky, isn't it?
Our winner was GuyL2, well done him, but I literally can;t give you an iota of info about him as I know zilch of his resume. He had a minor cash in Mini-Major 8 days ago & that's the total extend of info I have on him. I say "him" of course as that's my default setting, but it could equally be a her or a they.
Runner-up was @jakescol & this was only the start of a superb session by him, as we shall see later.
jordz16 is having a decent UKOPS, he won the Rebuy BH on Saturday for £1,400, & collected another £1,000 here.
Another player having a great UKOPS is bluecall07, who has had several cashes, & won UKOPS 06 on Friday. He must be close to the top of the Total Player Leaderboard now.
In 5th, & enjoying his 4th Final Table of this UKOPS was ozzieowen.

No surprise to see BlairReid win this, we've seen him at several SPT's. In fact I had the dubious pleasure of sharing tables with him at SPT Notts, & even though he was OOP to me, he abso owned me, lifting my leg, picking my pocket & generally having me over. OK, I'm not so good these days, but what a perfect pain he was. Nice chap, oh yes, but a proper PITA.
Chuffed to bits for Guitar Bloke in 3rd, that's a big result for him.

UKOPS 23 £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£3,960)
It's been 2 months without a mention for chappo100, his last significant result being 2nd in the £6k BH on Sunday August 25th. He was playing his first MTT's for over a week last night, too.
Runner-up albania, who we usually only see on high days & holidays, mainly UKOPS, was making his 3rd FT of this UKOPS, & he now has a 4th, 3rd & 2nd. Gotta win one now if only to complete the sequence. Or come 5th.
After what seemed an age, but was only 4 days, chrisdonkb made his first FT of this UKOPS, to stay in the rear-view mirror of miniman88.

Lord Crush won the penultimate UKOPS of the evening for the 2nd successive night, which must be quite an unusual accomplishment.
And look who ran 2nd - jakescol - so that's 2nd in the Main, 7th in the Mini & 2nd in this, all in one evening. Top pokering bud.
Yet another cash for destinycod, who had a decent day on Sunday.

Thank you and gl all
He lived down here in Cornwall, but I think may have moved over the border into Devon. I think he plays the Sunday Major (he's run well in it a few times)....... and possibly Cash.
Being local to me, I've chatted to him a few times in the past, and asked him if he owned the L2 Nightclub in Truro 'coz of his alias, but he said he didn't.
Congrat's @GuyL2 ...... really pleased for you mate
