been linked with the job. Analysis Spurs have never hired a manager as expensive or demanding as Mourinho, nor spent the kind of money on players that he became accustomed to at clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United. Many fans will therefore be surprised that he is in contention, with RB Leipzig's young coach Julian Nagelsmann appearing a much more natural fit. But Spurs have come a long way in recent years under Pochettino. They have a new £1bn stadium and training ground, and four successive seasons in the Champions League, (along with player sales) have helped them to become the most profitable club in world football.

The main stat that stands out though is trophy's won ZERO.
1. Gets appointed, players & fans love him. 2. Spends money. 3. Wins a minor trophy. 4. Demands more money to get to next level. 5. Fans start to complain about 'negative' style of play. 6. Spends more money. 7. Fails to win a major trophy. 8. Claims he is still best manager in the league. 9. Wastes yet more money. 10. Brings in Ibrahimovic. 11. Blames failure to win title on the clubs board not spending enough. 12. Loses dressing room. 13. Fans demand his sacking. 14. Leaves with another huge pay off. 15. Is still the medias darling. 16. Takes up Sky pundit job. 17. Plots behind other managers backs to take their jobs. 18. Gets appointed by a new club. 19. Players & fans love him. 20. Repeat the Mourinho cycle.
I don't think its always about winning trophies. I would rather my club was building something for the future and getting consistent top 4 finishes than win one of the domestic cups. I think if you can see a future where you are going to be challenging for the league and in Europe that's the key thing. Trouble is they would of wanted to close the gap but its gone the other way.
Spurs league position is a bit false as they are only 3 points off 5th but the concern would of been the gap to the top 4 which is a concern for myself as a Man United fan and am sure it will be for Arsenal fans too.
For me as a Liverpool fan, I would HATE the idea of Moanrinho ever coming to my club and whilst ManU are still 'in the doldrums' a coach like Poch would work for them
I know in all likelihood that if KLOPP was to go/sacked it would Gerrard coming in but tbf it happened yesterday with Klopp leaving, I would want Liverpool to go for Poch, in a heartbeat

Very witty. But not very accurate.
"Minor trophy? He has won 8 national league titles, for 5 different clubs, in 4 different countries, since 2003. Arsenal in that time? 1. In 2004.
"Fails to win major trophy"? 2 Champions League wins, 2 UEFA/Europa League titles. Arsenal-0 CL wins, 2 Euro trophies (if you include the Fairs Cup), last 1 in 1994.
Pochettino has been a marvellous Manager for Spurs. Until this year. I wish him every success in the future. He deserves better than Man Utd (as they are at the minute). Appreciate that Gooners like to moan about their once-successful Managers for years while keeping them, and must be jealous of a club that can act decisively.
Will the "Spurscial One" be our manager in 5 years time? Unlikely. His track record speaks of considerable short-term success, then acrimony. But I do believe he will be at Spurs next season. Doubt Emery will last til the end of 2019.

Fans of Leicester City won't be sitting comfortably tonight.
I am going to dive in and suggest an early 'outsider'

I'm really surprised at that. Daniel Levy & Jose Mourinho hardly seem compatible to me.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.
