The problems at Arsenal run much deeper than the out going manager. We've got an owner who is more concerned with acquiring sports teams to add to his sporting portfolio, rather than concentrating on one investment and making that his priority.
We've a board who don't understand the basics of football in this country.
A successful club is well run from the owner to the boardroom which filters down each level throughout the entire club.Until there is a change in ownership or in the owners own philosophy regarding proper investment, then this cycle will continue to be repeated every 2/3 years, whilst the said owner continues to milk funds out of the club to fund his other sporting whims.
@lucy4 on the other hand you've recently spent 72 mil on Pepe, 27 mil on Saliba, 24 mil on Tierney, 60 mil on Aubameyang, 50 mil on Lacazette, 40 (!!) mil on Xhaka, etc etc etc. Obviously these aren't City/United spending sprees but from the outside looking in it seems your manager has been fairly well backed for the last few years. Mostly him to blame?
@Allan23 whilst it may seem that Kroenke has 'spent' a decent amount of money the truth is far from that once you start digging into the actual finances of it all.
Add to the above that he didn't even use his own money to secure the shares to gain control of the club. The man with a £7 Billion fortune put in £44 million of his own money and the rest was a loan of £550 million from Deutsche Bank. The man is a real estate mogul not a sports fan.

The madness was spending 72mill on Pepe, when everyone could see that it was central defence and midfield (partic defensive/central midfield) that needed strengthening.

It's amazing that every other person in the footballing world and beyond could see for the last 8-10 years that it was the defence that needed sorting out. But time and time again we'd buy attacking midfielders/strikers when we was crying out for stability at the back. Why could the powers that be who made the decisions not see that,it's gonna be a long way back unless things change this time.

Don't think the Arsenal Board had much choice really.
Would love to see them appoint the fella from Wolves, Nuno.
Not sure about Poch, think he has his eyes set on Old Trafford.
Ancelotti would be a perfect fit, with Howe a lively outsider.

Ooh yeah, forgot about Arteta. He might just be the best bet.
