Can you REALLY have a merry meat-free Christmas? From a soya 'roast' to mushroom 'pigs in blankets', FEMAIL ranks the best (and worst) vegan festive food

As Sainsbury's predicts that a quarter of Britons will be vegan by 2025, Frankie McCoy taste tested the meat-free Christmas foods currently on offer in UK stores. Pictured clockwise from top left: Morrisons Free-from mince pies, Co-op Vegan Festive Christmas Sandwich, M&S Plant Kitchen Festive Roast and Vegetable Gravy, Sainsbury's Pups in Blankets, Iceland No Moo Melt-in-the-Middle Chocolate Puddings, Waitrose Vegan Sausage Wreath, Tesco Finest Butternut, Mushroom and Chestnut Wreath and Selfridges vegan pumpkin spiced panettone.

My other half has been veggie for the past 5 years. She is returning to eat logically this xmas.

A lot of these things are about as processed as they come and they all taste pretty much the same. I've eaten tons of it.

A quarter of britons to become vegan by 2025? I'll take the under on that.... I would take the over on them being vegetarian tho.
