There is only one bounty available when the first decision is made. There are two bounties available when the second decision is made. That matters. It doesn’t matter that you are similar stacks, it matters that they cover you. It’s not a one-off spot, the equity is there.

I can see your thought process, and that I just thought about it in one particular way.
I can see that the button is in a stronger position after the two limpers have folded.
I struggle with making the call knowing I would be all but out, on losing the pot, and may well be dominated.
QTo clearly does much better vs your shoving range than 64o does. If he knew you had Ace Queen I'm sure he would have folded. Poker sure would be an easier game if you knew your opponent's cards.
You say the call is bad because he happened to have 26% equity vs your exact hand. But with two potential bounties to win, a lot of dead blinds out there and okay equity vs your shoving range the call can't ever be that bad. It certainly doesn't seem nearly bad enough to warrant a forum post. You didn't say how deep you were but if it was an amount big enough to make the call shocking I'm sure you'd have mentioned it.
It may be a case the call was -chip ev but became +£ ev because of the bounties. Yes, I'm suggesting it might have, by some means, been a good move. Consider how well it does vs your shoving range, the pot odds and the value of the bounties when analysing whether or not you think the play is good. The fact you held Ace Queen exactly this time is not relevant.
Are you just voicing the other side of the argument, or saying you would have made the call?
I appreciate that some of the comments that have been made on this thread, have opened my eyes to considerations that I didn't appreciate.
Although I would still find it difficult to call off just about all my chips in that spot.
But don't you want silly calls. Over a twelve month period it's those silly calls that pay for your holidays?. There is a player on PL08 who berates players for poor play even when he wins as if he wants them to stop playing, I just don't get it.
This of course is true.
I am heading back to the rail and Brexit.
I shouldn't have ventured over here in the first place, although I do appreciate some of the views that have been put forward, by much better players than me.
I intended to make a frivolous post about bad calls in general, and I should have picked a much worse hand to illustrate the point that I was trying to make.
This would be the same as a roulette table in a casino not bothering to spin the wheel and just taking player's chips because they're in front....then wondering why people don't want to play roulette anymore.
