Forum Comp Day 2, TUESDAY. Preston v Fulham @ 7.45pm

It's a Champions League night, but not for us. The Liverpool game looks a good one & the markets are well-balanced, but kick off at 5.55pm is way too early for us. Chelsea v Lille is an 8pm affair, but Chelsea are 2/11 with Lille 16/1, so that's not much fun.
And so we somehow end up with Preston v Fulham, with Preston featuring at home for the 2nd week in a row. They sit 7th, just 4 points behind Fulham, but have lost their last 4 games. Fulham, meanwhile, are 3rd & have won 4 of their last 5. All of which is nicely balanced by the northern side having ground advantage.

I happened across this photo whilst perusing google images for something interesting & relevant to today's game. It's certainly not relevant, as it features the great Wally Barnes of Arsenal & Wales.
Interesting though, certainly, as it shows how high Wally could extend his right leg, and yet was completely unable to make contact with the ball...
If you were a young boy growing up in the 1950's, this man was your hero. He was the first footballer ever to earn £100 per week, & we idolised him. God bless Johnny Haynes.
Hate having to do this as Preston is where I was born, but we've forgotten how to score and leaking goals due to injuries
