As Xmas inches ever closer, it's a job to know what to expect with numbers at the moment.
Friday is a big night, with the £10,000 Main & £4,000 Mini, so the numbers take some covering.
As it turned out, the Main covered by exactly 1% (£100), & everything else did fairly well. Midnight Ex was the star performer, coming in at £1,840, or 85% over Guarantee.
In aggregate, then, 13% above Guarantee, which is quite impressive considering the £10,000 Main barely covered. Think that'll do just fine.
Unforch, the UKOPS High Roller Semi never ran, as it needed 7 runners to go & it fell one shy.
£10,000 Avenger Rebuy Main (£10,100)
£4,000 Avenger Rebuy Mini (£4,295)
£2,000 Sheriff (£2,750)
£1,000 Quickdraw (£1,400)

£10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,100)
seikus has found some form. A search through his history over the last 3 years suggests this might be the best result he has had, or nearly so, and he also went on to win the £1,000 Guaranteed BH @ 2130 for good measure. WP Sir.railtard11 was 3rd, collecting £583, which was some £1,200 less than the winner, but as it later turned out, running 3rd cost railtard a great deal more than that.

railtard collected ~£649 for winning this, & in doing so, collected a £1,500 Final Table Jackpot, as he was 3rd in the Main. So he ended up with some £2,700 in total, but if he had won the Main as well, that would have been over £6,000.

skyflyer has been fairly quiet since winning the Sunday Major at the back end of November, but bounced back to form here.
XXDREXLXX has also been quiet since he was 5th in the Sunday Major in early June, but managed 2nd here then followed up by winning a 98 runner BH that kicked off at 0030 this morning. WAL.
StayOrGo had an evening of near-misses but managed 3rd here, ahead of scotty77 & a pair of coxy's.

GFKIJKLL made his 6th "Big 5" FT for December though this was the maiden win of the month.
StayorGo who bubbled the Main FT & 3rd in Sheriff came close again, 2nd this time, & The Bates continued to make FT's for fun but seems to be struggling to win one. Think he's awaiting UKOPS.
In 4th was The Hippo, & if he's reading this, I'd like to wish him a Merry Xmas. I'd like to but I'm not going to.

Nero booked the win. Presumably he is named after the last of the great Roman Emperors, whose Mum rejoiced in the splendid name of Agrippina the Younger. However, Nero, who was a bit of a ruffian, a sort of early day Boris Johnson or Donald Trump, had her killed as he got fed up with her nagging.
