    My eyeballs are appreciating City’s choice of change kit today.

    18th minute;

    City have laid siege to Villa's goal for the first 15 minutes & a goal was inevitable, but the manner of it & scorer were a surprise, as Mahrez conjures something out of nothing, making a complete fool of ex Leicester City team-mate Danny Drinkwater in the process.

    Villa need to do a lot better than this. They looked great midweek v Leicester, but are offering no threat today. Strange to think Dean Smith sets a team up like this, when Steve Bruce got sacked by Villa for exactly that.

    22nd minute.

    Now Drinkwater has his pocket picked by Silva & it's Mahrez again who scores.

    This is threatening to get very messy for Villa, & maybe those ridic prices for 6 goals were not to silly after all.

    If Villa don't sort themselves out this could be a rout.

    Drinkwater 0 Mahrez 2

    28th minute;

    DeBruyne leaves Drinkwater flat-footed, passes to Aguero & it's three.

    Villa's best chance here is a floodlight failure. They could lose by double digits at this rate.

    Villa 0 Man City 3

    Better teams than this injury ravaged Villa unit have succumbed to City’s brilliance.
    In Drinkwater’s case, I think today is all about getting minutes under his belt. It will take him a few games to get up to speed , but I think he will help Villa in the long run.

    45th minute;

    An abso peach of a pass from DeBruyne splits Villa completely open & Jesus is left with the simple task of side-footing the ball-in from close range. Lovely, lovely, goal.

    6 goals or more must be an odds on shot now.

    One of the worst performances by any team this season imo. City have been good, yup, but Villa have not laid a glove on them.

    They could get 10 if they wanted to today. Absolute demolition job.
