A reasonable evening with everything doing OK, if not great. Quickdraw did best, coming in almost double at £1,900, whilst, oddly, Midnight Ex was bottom of the class & came in smack on the number.

Lnarin00 has been subdued since winning the UKOPS High Roller last month for ~£5,000 but bounced back to form here. He only plays the Sunday big stuff & does very well.
Runner-up Arrogant made his 4th FT of the week, the best of which was 2nd in Friday's Avenger Main. Another FT for the resurgent Bates, with serial casher peiratis88 6th.
11th was @Doooobs who won last Sunday's Major, and he just missed the cash in this week's renewal, finishing 25th, one spot behind Ambo.

Starting times are customer-driven really.
The Customer base here like to play in the evenings. If the whole schedule were moved forward by, say, 2 or 3 hours, I'm sure it would have a seriously negative effect on site traffic. There are plenty of MTT's earlier, but they attract less traffic as (most) people are working during the day I guess.
Well done on your 5th place last night in the £6k BH, and I see you also won the Predator Main a few nights ago. Hope you snaffle a few more results & justify those late nights.
Totally get evening play. Just seems a little peculiar that the main events start at 8pm/9pm when all the regulars are online much sooner. I'm sure there are many fun players who, like you said, have to work the next day and find the finish time too late.
Just feels like Sky Poker has a real opportunity to attract UK players who are fed up of all the late schedules on other sites.
It's a fair point, & I'll certainly pass it up to the Suits.
It's a bit weird how online poker, ever since it began just over 20 years ago, has really been a nocturnal thing. The great bulk of the traffic comes during mid to late evenings & early mornings. On global sites - 'Stars, Party, 888 etc, there is traffic 24/7 due to time differences across the world, & in that respect, UK & European facing sites - of which there are relatively few - do have a different time dynamic.
I think the timings work pretty well, and if you manage to run deep and cash, the 'high' outweighs the sacrifice of a couple of hours sleep imo
Yes, if the Main were at, say, 6pm or 7pm, the satellites would need to start that much earlier, so that would cost a lot of runners too.
There's only so many nights a fun player, with work the next day, will play until 1am before they look to other poker sites to get their kicks.
A sustainable Poker site needs a continuous healthy flow of new fun players who can be retained and converted in to semi-regulars. This is how the daily die-hard players can spin up their money on a regular basis (by picking off these players) and ultimately how sites like Pokerstars can generate a constant and increasing revenue.
With the current schedule though, I'm guessing the playing activity of fun players drops off pretty rapidly upon sign-up, with a load of idle accounts sitting on the database. Meaning Sky Poker is currently protecting the daily die-hards as this is where the money is currently coming in from.
Doesn't make sense to me. The daily die-hards will likely be hustling multiple poker sites and will be online much sooner than 8pm. So there's no worry there.
I could finish work late, put the kids to bed, make a slow-cooked casserole and still have time to pop the kettle on before the Main starts. And don't get me started about the 9pm!
Maybe it's just me. But something doesn't add up. Why mirror sites like PokerStars where the main events finish way past the UK-based players' bed time.
It's a pity there isn't a bigger guarantee Tourney earlier, like on a Sunday, but I'm sure it's been tried, but once the guarantees aren't being met, or are affecting the Main Tourneys, then they are the first thing to go.
7.30pm £33bh on Sunday finished at 00.50. Monday main finished at 1.41. Tonight's main is already over.
Sunday main finishes late (3.20am this week) but its the flagship tournament for the site and is lots of money ftw so while I think structure could be tweaked a bit I can see why its like it is.
Sheriff finished at 00.14 Sunday and 00.48 Monday. Wouldn't say that is particularly late.
Looking at 888 as a comparison. Is 8 left (00.25) in monsoon $55 which starts at 6.30 and 26 left in $33 big fish which started at 6.30. These seem to be comparative options for players but they last longer.
Lots of players will only play some nights of the week and they will want to play the main but don't want to pay the full entry fee so will want to play sats to get in so I think its important to allow these players to do that.
I will say that the schedules should be set around recreational players and its down to professional players to work their schedules around this.
My 2 pence worth anyway.
