Who won what on Friday 31st January - waller02 wins the Main

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 174,481

Solid night, with the exception of the £10,000 Main which missed by an inconsequential 5 entries.

The other 4 all did very well indeed, despite the attraction (?) of Derby v Stoke on the TV.

£10,000 Avenger Main (£10,000)

£4,000 Avenger Mini (£5,350)

£2,000 Sheriff (£2,600)

£1,000 Quickdraw (£1,350)

£1,000 Midnight Ex (£1,740)

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,000)

What a fabulous way to start the day, waking up to see that Ryan has taken down Avenger Main for just shy of £2,000. As most of you know, he runs, or ran, a Bankroll Challenge thread, for which the next target was £5,000. Last night's win takes him to within touching distance of that £5,000.

Most of us are pleased because in Ryan we recognise someone who wanted to do better at poker, so he worked hard to rectify that, & ended up getting coaching from Melty. He never moaned & groaned, or complained of being outdrawn "the last 15 times", he just went & made himself a better player. He deserves to succeed. Meanwhile, every day on this Forum you will see folks complaining that Sky Poker is rigged, or that they are "the unluckiest player in the world" as they can't win. Puke city.

Well done Melty too, it seems his coaching made all the difference.

It's a great shame Ryan does not do daily updates any more as he writes so well, & there is so much goodwill towards him on here, but we can't complain, he has to do what he feels best suits him.

Great stuff by Ryan, that sets the day up nicely.

Incidentally, if you use Sharkscope, have a look at Ryan's profit graph. It's an absolute picture.

Very kind words @Tikay10 thank you very much. Was buzzing last, and still am now tbh. I've won a main before but a long long time ago so was beginning to think it wouldn't happen again. You're right @chicknMelt deserves a lot of credit, I wouldn't have had this result without his coaching so can't thank him enough.

I'll do a diary update this afternoon

Thanks. Yeah I was a bit miffed when he typed "Surprise, surprise" in the chat box when literally 5 minutes before he had got that stack after the AK v AK flush. I guess we all have selective memory at times though.
