So I've been playing a game called
Poker Melee with friends and I wondered if any of the forum regs here might be interested in playing too.
In essences, it's a web-based facsimile of NLH except it's turn-based and allows you to play hundreds of hands simultaneously. One of its neatest features is that you can automate certain scenarios (eg, CO open, BTN 3b vs HJ open, etc) by assigning actions to ranges. It also has some neat statistical views with various charts and graphs. I've found it to be quite an entertaining way to fill time on my MTT breaks.
The way it works is you start a match by inviting players and then you play out a custom number of hands (default 1000) in a turn-based manner. You can also customise the starting stacks.
It looks like you can only start a match with known friends, so if you're interested in playing then sign up on the website and leave a note with your username in this thread and then I'll invite you to a game. I think matches only allow up to 6 players, but we can always have multiple games going if there is enough interest. 1000 hands with 100bb stacks makes sense to me, unless there are any dissenters.
