The opener missed by 5 runners, which did not bode well, but as the evening progressed so did the numbers, & the other 5 beat guarantee by 9%, 19%, 10%, 20% & 48% respectively. That'll do nicely.

Perseverance was the key for tonyp142, after a series if near misses, including 3rd in UKOPS 6 at Xmas, 2nd in Quickdraw on February 20th & 5th in the £6k BH 3 days later, he got his win last night, collecting ~£315.
A similar story for the runner-up TheBench1, a frustrating February with 2 Sheriff & 1 Quickdraw Finals, but the win is still eluding him.

Don't know too much about the winner, except that he ran 3rd in a Sheriff in January.
Yesterday, we had another of those ridic posts from someone describing Sky Poker as "a **** joke" & "the worst hand always wins". Well my friend the best hand ALWAYS wins, that's how poker works, but we'll gloss over that. Love how these guys write with such flowing eloquence.
Anyway, I had a delve, & guess when he last posted on our Forum? September 2011. During that time he's played almost 7,000 MTT's here. Do we really think he'd play 7,000 games here if he truly believes what he wrote? Of course he does not. It's just frustration, & an inability to take the beats that poker inevitably dishes out. I get a little tired of these posts, particularly as it's not appropriate for me to engage with them & express my views.
There's a flip side though, & now & then someone writes to me & expresses the view that Sky Poker & the players here are good eggs, & I had such a missive early this morning from gibbzy.
He had just finished 2nd in the Main after winning entry via a £1.80 satellite, picking up over £650, & it was clear he was buzzing, as most of us would be after a nice score like that. He went on to say he's loving his poker, making a bit of profit, coping with the beats, & drawing inspiration from @MattBates & @waller02. Which I thought was rather nice, & he then went on to say he's hoping to improve his game by asking a few questions on the Forum. He's going to try & attend SPT Brighton, too.
