Champions League returns tonight, & it's the knockout phase, each of the teams is playing the 2nd leg, & in this case Spurs lost the first leg at home 1-0 to Leipzig, who were an absolute revelation & made Spurs look rather foolish.
It's going to take a big effort for Spurs to turn this round, and the bookies have priced it accordingly. Only 9 months ago Spurs made the Champions League Final, losing against Liverpool, & now here they are almost 5/1 against a little-known German club owned by an "energy drink" manufacturer. Strange times.
In the German Bundesliga Leipzig sit 3rd, behind Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund, in the Premier League Spurs sit 8th. Both sides have won just 2 of their last 5 domestic league games.
Reminder - we settle on the result on the night at 90 minutes.
It's both interesting & amusing to watch Jose Mourinho as he goes through his various phases. He's now reached the "blaming the players by name" stage. Next comes his battle with the Media.
