Forum Comp Day 1, MONDAY. Horse Racing, Hereford & Southwell. NOTE EARLY START

No football, & no evening racing, & in order to find reasonable betting markets, so we'll have to do two races as follows;

4.20 @ Hereford

4.30 @ Southwell

The Hereford race is a 2m 4f Handicap Chase, & the 4.320 Southwell is a 3m Handicap Hurdle.

All being well, we'll have a football match on Tuesday evening from the National League, probably Torquay United v Notts County. Not exactly Liverpool v Man City, but in these difficult times it will do nicely.

In the "not a lot of people know that" department, Hereford Racecourse, which is quite splendid on a summer's day, is operated by Arena Racing -no surprise there - but the owners are Herefordshire Council of all people. Not sure why a Council would own a racecourse, I'd prefer they stick to emptying bins & sell the Racecourse to a commercial entity.

This young lady beaming ear to ear is the wonderfully named Miss Tabitha Worsley, who rides 50/1 shot betterlatethanneva in the 2nd race. I'm not at all sure I've ever met a lady by the name of Tabitha.
