Forum Comp Day 7, SUNDAY. Horse Racing, Downpatrick, 3.10 & 3.40 - the Getting Out Stakes

There's a good Irish Card today which includes the Ulster National, and as we've been starved of horse racing for too long I thought we'd give that a bash. Greyhounds are an acceptable "last resort" but the horses seem to work better, so if there are Irish meetings next week we may do a few of those too. The only problem is that they start early, but with so many people now confined to home, perhaps that won't be such a problem.

With both races wide open & huge prices available, selecting the winner of both or even one of these 2 races might be enough to give anyone this week's win.

So we'll do the Ulster National at 3.10pm, which is about 5/1 the field, & a terrific big-field handicap chase that follows it at 3.40pm which is 7/2 the field but has plenty of horse at really fancy prices.

Might just be fun.

Downpatrick is a little south of Belfast, sort of level with the northern part of the Isle of Man.
