Morning.
After slowing down just a tad on Tuesday, the online poker MTT's boom resumed it's upward trajectory yesterday, with Big 6 Prize Pools coming in 88% north of Guarantees. Note these are the revised guarantees, based on the old guarantees the number is 157%, with almost every one more than doubling it's guarantee. Sheriff came in at over £5,000 for the 3rd time in it's last 4 renewals, the Mini had 847 entries & the Main 511. Who could have imagined such numbers only a few short weeks ago? How long this will continue is anyone's guess, but I think we'd all wish to see this virus beaten quickly, even if it means this poker boom ends.
One thing is for sure, the world will have changed forever once the virus goes away, because financial Armageddon awaits. Millions of jobs will have been lost, countless businesses fail, & of course Lord knows how many will have died. All rather gloomy in truth, whatever way you dress it up. I do find it somewhat uncomfortable that a small number of poker players are still chuntering about relatively trivial matters, but I suppose they live in a little bubble & have zero self-awareness. Have a look at a few threads on 2 + 2 if you don't believe me. Luckily, Sky Poker is blessed with what seems to me to be a Client-base largely consisting of decent folks.
And with that cheerful note, on we go.

CrashHolly was 3rd, well done Buddy, with BigDane doggedly making his way into 4th.

Melty was 2nd collecting over £1,600 - not bad for 2nd - with miniman88 4th.

fiers5527 certainly gets the C & D tag, he won Quickdraw twice in 8 days at the turn of the year & again last night.
Runner-up was the intriguingly named melonhead1. You might wonder what the "1" on the end denotes, surely nobody else on Sky Poker decided to call themselves melonhead? Wrong, there's already a Melonhead, and a Melonheadd, the latter presumably a Scot.

This is indeed sad times for us all, and unfortunately some still don't grasp it .
I had words with a young lad the other day , " we will be ok " .
This may be the case, but us older generation are going to lose a lot of friends and family, lets hope not ,stay safe , take care all X
Thanks George.
I don't believe the enormity of it all has hit many people yet, many are still being way too flippant about it.
The penny will drop eventually, by which time many more people will have been needlessly infected.
We ALL need to take this seriously.
Hope you & The Dame are safe, & in good heart.
Some of the numbers are off the scale, but I try not to be too gushy about it on the Results Thread as that would be wrong in the current climate.
Crazy times.
