Who won what on Friday March 27th. Millennial Mini caps it all

Good morning.

Goodness me, what a party we had last night, with traffic on the site at levels unimaginable less than 2 weeks ago. This thread just deals with a handful of MTT's, but the traffic seen in these was echoed across the site in Cash & SNG's. At peak, over 7,000 players were online.

The £10,000 Main made an eye-watering £26,720, and a new £3,000 BH made £7,400.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing was the Mini, which has been running for years, but somehow reached it's "cap" of 1,000 runners last night & was closed to further entries with 20 minutes of Late Reg still due. That's never happened before. It more than doubled it's already enhanced £5,000 Guarantee despite that.

The software coped admirably, & other than the little glitches which have always been present, it all ran perfectly.

£3,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7pm £7,400

£1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7.30pm £2,180

£10,000 Avenger Main £26,720

£5,000 Avenger Mini £10,745

£3,000 Sheriff £5,400

£5,000 Turbo BH £5,940

£1,500 Quickdraw £2,500

£1,000 Midnight Express £2,780

    NEW - £3,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7pm (£7,400)

    This was a new MTT making it's first ever appearance.

    OldemH, who was 3rd in Thursday's 7 @ 7, took the honours & with it over £1,500.

    2nd was Gambelo, who had not played any MTT's since Sunday. He's a UKOPS specialist, so that's his seedcorn right there. 4th was heddoh18, who ran 2nd in Tuesday's summit.

    TommyD was 5th. Those who follow Tommy on Twitter have been treated to some wonderful photos this week which he takes whilst out on his daily exercise jogs.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7.30pm (£2,180)

    Williskl1, with very little MTT volume here, booked the win, with Midnight Express C & D specialist Sicoe77 2nd.

    heddoh18, 4th in the opener, was a spot better here, with avix, who I really enjoyed meeting at SPT Manchester, 4th & Lord Crush 6th.

    @Williskl1 327000 1 £304.65 + £117.62 Head Prizes 5

    @Sicoe77 0 2 £185.84 + £87.01 Head Prizes 5

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£26,720)

    Oh my, £26,720 for a £10,000 Main. That's more than many regular UKOPS Mains, & is surely the biggest Sky Poker MTT prize pool of 2020.

    Kickastink took the trophy, & with it over £4,000. When this chap cashes, he cashes big. It was just his 7th MTT here since 1st December last year, & includes runner-up in Sunday Major twice, firstly back in December for £2,349, than last Sunday for £3,528. That's some run-rate he's got going there.

    Another with an amazing return is Dooooobs. I was keeping an eye on him last night, & wanted to wish him good luck, but I have a fearful record of bokking him so I kept schtum. He's another with an amazing run-rate, in just 53 MTT's on Sky Poker in 2020 he has earned over £7,600 in profit, & even sits 9th on the Sharky 2020 Sky Poker MTT Leaderboard. Considering how few MTT's he plays, that's most impressive. Well done David.

    3rd was Pi11OhF1te, who is more usually seen at the fiver DYM tables. Would take some serious fiver DYM volume to make over £1,600.

    5th was FuryMuff. Note that's "Fury" not "Furry".

    @KickaStink 3054000 1 £3206.40 + £887.58 Head Prizes 13

    @Doooobs 0 2 £1750.16 + £239.51 Head Prizes 7

    £5,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£10,745)

    Nearly £11,000 for a Mini? You gotta be kidding me.

    Burtace123 completed a hat-trick of Mini wins, the last in September 2019, & before that, in a 2018 UKOPS. This was by far the biggest of course.

    @Burtace123 5100000 1 £1128.22 + £292.85 Head Prizes 15

    @hanna82 0 2 £644.70 + £63.21 Head Prizes 12

    £3,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£5,400)

    cabbaz FT bubbled the Final Table of Sharpshooter Main last Saturday, but got consolation here. He either played real well or ran good - or perhaps both - as it was a purler of a FT rammed full of Team Heavy Hitters.

    @cabbaz 540000 1 £769.50 + £361.25 Head Prizes 5

    @5ausages 0 2 £475.20 + £319.79 Head Prizes 12

    NEW - £5,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£5,940)

    So a fella starts a thread on Sky Poker forum, "maybe we could squeeze a few more MTT's in", then adds....

    In terms of higher buy in stuff I think we could fit in a 55 @ 6:30/7 and a 33 (turbo?) @ 9:30/45 or something along those lines

    Anyone want to guess his name?

    It's nothing short of outrageous.

    @chicknMelt 990000 1 £801.90 + £280.16 Head Prizes 6

    @SsNsK 0 2 £484.11 + £301.45 Head Prizes 13

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£2,500)

    This completed a 2020 hat-trick for ceticbhoy, his 2nd Quickdraw win in addition to a Sheriff victory. Late night specialist I guess.

    A brace of 2nd places on the night for Gambelo, as he occupied the same spot in that new BH that ran at 7pm.

    @ceticbhoy 250000 1 £462.50 + £398.90 Head Prizes 10

    I had no idea that the Mini was capped at 1,000 runners. Is that the same for all the regular MTT's in the schedule?

    Also, as someone that's only been paying attention to the Sky MTT scene since 2018, how do the current numbers stack up against the time when the tv channel was in its heyday? Does it feel like it's 2010 again to you Sky veterans, or were things even busier back then?

    A lot of the 'main' MTTs in the very beginning had caps of around 650-700 from memory. When the cap was raised, the majority of the time when the main got over 1k entries it was because the main was the £11 Turbo Tuesday tournament, and/or there was a promotion - I remember double guarantee weeks running every few months for a couple of years.

    I think historically the mains were never huge 1k+ fields, it was more that events like the 'Primo' (55 Freeze on a Sunday) would be hitting £20k guarantees without too much trouble.

    Cheers Tony

    I had to do a double take last night when I looked at the prizes late on. That was some first prize for a £20 bounty hunter. I did put a pretty bad beat on someone with about 20 left. It might have been cut off, button, big blind, but if it wasn't it was around there. I raise with AcQc, get one call and then "big blind" shoves all in with 10 bigs. I then near reshove my 30 bigs, as you do. Of course, the caller then instashoves his aces. Think I'd flushed him by the 4th card.

    £1400 for a 1st in the mini is mind-boggling. It's the same as 1st is in the main most days.
