Who won what on Monday April 1st. 3 extra MTT's included today.

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,012

Morning.

3 extra MTT's today, for various reasons, so with 9 in total - possibly only for today, depending on feedback - it'll be less waffle, more facts & numbers.

Perhaps the standout from last night was that a bog-standard midweek Main Event achieved over £20,000. The sooner this virus disappears the better, but in the meantime it's quite something to observe these numbers ticking up nightly. Don't want to tempt fate, but the software seems to be holding up well so far. 10 or 12 days ago a couple of MTT's refused to start, but apart from the usual niggles, it seems to have coped remarkably well with the upsurge in traffic. Bear in mind we only look at MTT's in here, but similar traffic increases are being seen in SNG's & Cash Games.

Don't forget, too, 7pm tomorrow (Friday) sees the start of the 11 day UKOPS, which might just be something given what's happened of late. It's so hard to predict what traffic might do in these troubled times.

£2,000 BH @ 6.30 £3,205

£3,000 BH @ 7pm £4,950

£1,000 BH @ 7.30pm £1,640

£2,000 Predator Mini £4,510

£3,000 Sheriff £4,350

£5,000 Turbo BH £5,190

    £2,000 Bounty Hunter @ 6.30pm (£3,205)

    This one runs at 6.30pm daily, & I was alerted to it by Sky James, who commented on how many runners it was getting. 641 entries last night. Not sure I can ever remember a £5.50 late afternoon MTT getting that many runners, & for those that play it regularly, they must wonder what's happening.

    hifi took the honours & over £400. He had been playing all the £3 & £5 BH's throughout the day without even a sniff of a cash, then suddenly got the lot in this one, the biggest of them all. Nice.

    @hifi 1282000 1 £384.60 + £38.34 Head Prizes 6

    @mikewhisky 0 2 £209.93 + £39.66 Head Prizes 7

    @gintoj21 0 3 £124.19 + £19.21 Head Prizes 6

    @Boothy19 0 4 £98.55 + £39.99 Head Prizes 8

    @JoeyWin 0 5 £81.73 + £22.33 Head Prizes 5

    @GrayZoni 0 6 £65.70 + £25.44 Head Prizes 5

    I've not heard the term "hifi" in years. The term came into vogue in the 1950's, hifi players, gramophones & home entertainment centres were all the rage, & so big that they counted as furniture. Today, we can get 10,000 or more music tracks on a device so small it fits in our pockets.

    £3,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7pm (£4,950)

    A somewhat odd playing profile for the winner. Just 3 games here in total & all over the last 2 years - & he won all 3. In March 2018 he played & won a fiver Six Max Speed, then 6 months later he played & won a fiver Turbo Heads Up. So by then he was a tenner up. Then, a long 18 months later he enters & wins a £50 BH to collect £1,400+.

    TommyD seems to be enjoying a fin run, nobody deserves it more, he's a very special man.

    Oli & Melty were both on the FT, no surprise there.

    In 9th was Andy, aka SidV79, who runs the Orfordable League these days, & makes a jolly fine fist of it too from what I can see.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 7.30pm (£1,640)

    lewis274, getting only his 2nd mention since October 2016, booked the win, with I8PALACE - who we've not seen much of lately - in 5th. Bit of a spooky coincidence here - lewis274 & I8PALACE both made the Final when lewis had that mention over 3 years ago.

    DONATE2ME must love this one, this was his 4th FT in just over a month, with 2 wins & 2 runner-up spots.

    £10,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£20,280)

    The last mention I can find of the winner was in October 2019, when he ran 3rd in an Avenger Main won by The Swan.

    Runner-up Ferret17 trousered almost £1,500 to add the £700 he collected when 2nd in the Sunday evening £6k BH last month.

    Just missing the FT but collecting a nice few bob was Lightwood.

    £2,000 Mini Predator (£4,510)

    The winner returned early last month after an 18 month MTT absence, disappeared again for 3 weeks then showed up last night & got the lot in the 902 runner Mini.

    In 5th was Fishyworm, who was 3rd in Marksman on Monday. I'll be honest, I only mention him because I was quite pleased that my usual band of pun-spotters missed this purler when I commented on his Marksman result;

    "6th was Fishyworm, cashing for the 4th time in 5 MTT's, a sequence I really hope continues unabaited".

    £3,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£4,510)

    As I mention so often, Sheriff is usually dominated by Team Big Boy, & so it proved again last night.

    @imabonhead 435000 1 £630.75 + £333.95 Head Prizes 5

    @lolufold 0 2 £413.25 + £114.85 Head Prizes 5

    @scotty77 0 6 £141.38 + £99.90 Head Prizes 3

    I wonder if the winner is the same bonehead as the one who helped found easily the worst rock band of the last 40 years?

    £5,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£5,190)

    We are more used to Dooobs running deep or winning the Sunday Major so this made a profitable change of scenery for him, & added another £1,000+ to his 'roll.

    Danny was 4th, Redmond made it back to back finals in 5th, & HAYSIE argued his way to 6th. Imagine being sat to the immediate right of HAYSIE in an MTT & trying to get a move through.

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£2,900)

    £2,900 for the Midnight Ex? World's gone mad.

    joe759017 is fairly low-profile, but has over 12,000 MTT's here to his name.

    3rd was Sicoe77, who had a fabulous March, including 4 wins.

    @joe759017 435000 1 £398.75 + £196.23 Head Prizes 10

    UKOPS Main Event Freeroll (386 entries)

    This now runs at 6pm. It quietly disappeared for a week to howls of protest, then re-appeared a few nights ago to rapturous silence. It's previous 6.30 slot now belongs to the Rewards Freeroll which is getting crazy numbers. It was never the plan to remove either permanently, it was just like when bowlers change ends in cricket, it takes a bit of temporary shuffling.

    Note the player in 2nd, 1-DAY.

    @Big_Chilli 383815 1 UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    @1-DAY 212293.50 2 UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    @Thothotho 175891.50 3 UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    UKOPS Rewards Freeroll (1,651 entries)

    This is beyond extraordinary. 1-DAY was 2nd in the 381 runner 6pm Freeroll, then 30 minutes later 2nd in the 1,651 runner Freeroll. What are the odds of that? Must be phenom.

    The Pingu battled his way past 1647 entries but fell agonisingly one spot shy of the UKOPS Main Event seat. Have to say, he posted some fabulous stuff a few days ago, & really seems to get how a poker site works, which is a very rare talent indeed.

    @BACKFOOT 3300000 1 £50 + UKOPS 27 £20,000 High Roller

    @1-DAY 0 2 £30 + UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    @Francotir 0 3 £20 + UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    @msr1961 0 4 £15 + UKOPS 60 £50,000 MAIN EVENT

    'Don't forget, too, 7pm tomorrow (Friday) sees the start of the 11 day UKOPS, which might just be something given what's happened of late. It's so hard to predict what traffic might do in these troubled times.'

    Now I know many, including me, are struggling to remember what day it is at the moment @Tikay10, but that's really not helping.

    I always enjoy checking your updates. One day I might even get to see my name in lights but it's a long shot as I rarely play the tournaments covered, however there is slightly more chance now as I might play some of the earlier ones.

    You just confused me so much I had to check. It is definitely Friday tomorrow.

    Looking forward to it. I might make a better effort than I normally do given the kids are off and there are few places to take them now (certainly none that mean I have to get up especially early anyway).
