KIMBERLITE CANDY 16/1 EACH WAY as I can't see it being out of First 5
I'm with you @vaigret with WALK IN THE MILL e/w too
I'd actually backed it e/w Ante-post at 25/1 for the real thing after it won the Classic Chase at Warwick in January ....... so gutted this year's race has been cancelled.
Maybe I've just learned to be cynical when it comes to this industry, but it seems like a very clever move to get people who wouldn't usually bet - the one-bet-a-year Grand National punter - to sign up for a betting account, then no doubt bombard these people with casino marketing and virtual sports offers that they agreed to receive on signup. You get a few of those people punting virtual horses and casino over the next few weeks and suddenly the money 'they' donate to the NHS will be a drop in the ocean.
Essentially, they're turning the Grand National into an advert for online casino at a time when they know people are stuck at home and bored out of their minds, and doing so under the pretense that you can help the NHS by taking part. I mean, if the customer wants to donate to a Coronavirus charity anyway, it's a freeroll, right? Clearly not, because they're donating net profits on the market, so your winnings come from money that would have otherwise been donated, but of course they won't tell anyone that.
Since they'll only be donating their profits from the market itself, have a guess where the money they make goes when someone blows their winnings on Roulette tonight. Because it's definitely not going to the NHS. That's where they make their money on this.
They're also pushing the idea that losing is okay, without saying it. "You lost your money, but you at least helped the NHS and you had fun, so it's not all bad, right?" That weakens the idea that losing money is a negative thing, making the punter slightly less risk averse in the future and potentially more willing to gamble when they're not giving profits to the NHS. As with most bookie tactics, it's subtle and it's very clever.
Meanwhile, I've seen nothing of wealthy owners contributing to the NHS from their own pockets - H3ll, most of them are in Gibraltar or some other tax haven so that they can avoid contributing to our public services.
And of those that do actually pay tax in the UK, I've no doubt that Fred Done will continue throwing money at supporting the Conservative party, thus causing far more harm to the NHS than we can ever hope to collectively raise from a virtual horse race.
Instead, we're left with a desperate attempt to salvage a few quid from people punting their winnings on casino this evening, and an attempt to grab some good PR for the industry when people don't bother to scratch below the surface. Because the industry needs all the good publicity it can get when two record fines totalling almost £25m have been given out in the last three weeks. Betway UKGC fine Caesars UKGC fine
But hey, at least we don't have to listen to the bandwagon animal rights activists this year for a change.
Potters Corner (NAP) 18/1 Yala Enki 28/1 Walk In The Mill 16/1 Kimberlite Candy 16/1

All good fun
Evil Pingu too serious, I have had enough of serious, bit of light releif, profits from the market going to NHS charities and if people win and then lose it then there fault.
Agree the bookies not angels but let us gamblers have a little fun in this tough time.
