Who won what, UKOPS Day 8, Friday 10th April

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,012

Morning.

A fairly brief report today, as I've got some, you know, stuff to sort.

Big night last night, with a £20,000 High Roller added to the mix, but numbers were very good again right across the board.

Friday would normally be the £10,000 Avenger - last night's UKOPS replacement came in at £26,680.

Yet again, the Mini, usually £5,000 on a Friday, chimed in at £9,890, we've seen some eye-watering numbers in the Mini throughout UKOPS.

Perhaps the most surprising number was the Hyper Rebuy which was the last event of the night. A Hyper Rebuy would have the old-fashioned poker purists shaking their heads, & yet it came in over double it's guarantee. Poker has changed for ever.

In total, the prize pools came in at £89,980, some 61% above the £56,000 of guarantees.

Right across SB&G, & certainly including Poker, the business week runs Friday to Thursday, so Friday morning is the day that Sky James, Sky Sam & Co all have to compile their weekly reports for the Leadership Cheeses. Can't imagine it took long to compile the week's Overlay Report.

    UKOPS 45 £4,000 Bounty Hunter (£6,700)

    splashies has been turning a profit here for over 10 years now, & seems to be very efficient. His graph just relentlessly rises, year after year, & I don't think he's had a losing year since he started. He knows his limits & mainly sticks to £10 & £20 stuff, & reaps a rich & thoroughly deserved harvest there.

    In 3rd was Allan23, "only" here 5 years but another who knows his limits, sticks to them, & makes very good money doing so. Conventional poker advice is that once a player can beat a particular level they should move up. I've never agreed with that, & I think splashies & Allan23 show why. There's good money to be made at those levels.

    UKOPS 46 £20,000 High Roller B/Hunter (£27,800)

    It's always a bit of a risk for Sky Poker to offer these "High Rollers" but if there were any nerves in Head Office last night it did not take long to settle them, as this had covered within the first 15 minutes, during which there were 4 rebuys.

    A 3rd FT of the series for fishhhhh, he's run 5th in Tuesday's UKOPS Main & 6th in UKOPS 43 on Thursday, and he got the win last night when it really mattered, scooping a handsome £5,200+.

    daleboss had actually won that UKOPS 43 in which fishhhhh was 6th, collecting £1,370, but the runner-up spot here was worth a hefty £3,600+.

    miniman just missed the FT in 7th.

    Worth mentioning that Rose was there or thereabouts all tourney, eventually finishing 10th. Can't begin to imagine how many times she stood up & picked up her coat & handbag, than sat down again. I'll take the overs on 20.

    @fishhhhh 1390000 1 £3885.05 + £1327.46 Head Prizes 5

    @daleboss 0 2 £2369.95 + £1244.88 Head Prizes 7

    UKOPS 47 £15,000 Rebuy B/Hunter (£26,680)

    This was the evening's "Main", & it went to MStott.

    Remarkably, markye, 4th in the HR for £2,250, was 2nd here for another £2,300 or so, so he earned himself well over £4,000 across the two events.

    In 7th was Dougdesuit, which sounds like a character from **** or Goodfellas.

    @MStott 3100000 1 £3201.60 + £800.08 Head Prizes 12

    UKOPS 48 £5,000 Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,890)

    Catsnap is more usually seen dominating PLO8 affairs, but switched to NLH last night & took down the 929 runner Mini. Cracking result, & his best ever score here on Sky Poker. I have been known to confuse him with claudecat, who had a nice win the previous night, & of whom I wrote quite a bit. Hope I did not get the 2 mixed up....

    He also ended 6th in the nightly £200 PLO8, one spot behind Essexphil.

    £3,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£3,150)

    For the 3rd straight night Sheriff came in close to the Guarantee. On Wednesday it missed by 2 or 3 entries, Thursday it was bang on, & last night it just about covered. It's not long since it was flirting with £6,000, & not much longer since it was struggling to make £2,000. Volatile times.

    Danyo0 was on the Forum a few days ago looking for help with his game, since when he's won a 260 runner BH & now bagged a UKOPS seat in a 1,681 runner Freeroll. Seems to be doing just fine to me...

    Regards the Claude and Snap cats, I am pretty sure you did mix them up. But we make allowances for the vulnerable and at risk at the moment.

    Yes, I'm fairly sure that's true.

    The former, that is, not the latter.

    That's why when you say "stuff" in your OP, no-one picks you up on it. Even though we know it means "nap"...
