Getting a few things off my chest

Ok let me start this by saying that I completely understand and support the restrictions currently put in place to help defeat this terrible virus, completely, absolutely, no question 100%.

Firstly to the media, stop showing photographs of beautiful empty stretches of beach or National Parks. By doing this you are only encouraging people to flout the restrictions. A bit like when you ran headlines bemoaning panic buying and hoarding then proceeded to show scenes of empty supermarkets, thus creating the very scenarios you were telling people to desist from. Trust me as someone who'd rather be outdoors in a blizzard than stuck in the house you aint helping matters.

Next up we have the issue of second homes etc. As previously stated I'm in total agreement with the restrictions, however, I feel that a rather smug attitude has been taken by some local authorities. Specifically the person who stated that we are not welcome as we are a strain on resources. REALLY pal?, I pump between £12,000 and £15,000 per year into the economy of North Wales, which is more than some "locals". As I said I'm fully in support of the restrictions but you should be careful how you say things, especially as when we get to the other side of this you're going to be desperate for that injection into the local economy.

To the morons who are still acting as though nothings wrong. Yes we all see you knocking around with your mates, acting like you don't care and you're invincible, even making a show of your contempt for Covid-19. Guess what people see you for what you really are. Selfish, thoughtless, and ever so slightly pathetic, like the kid in the playground with a ciggie on thinking he looks big. Get a life you sad sacks.

Journalists, why do you keep asking about the lifting of the lockdown? FFS guys you are sounding like a broken record. Somebody in Government should say January 2021, then that stops this inane question and also if its lifted sooner then the powers that be look good. This is a new virus that scientists still don't understand, definitive answers cannot be given about most aspects, as like poker much is based on mathematical probability and statistical analysis. However, like G.T.O. its not solved yet.

TV, stop showing ads for stuff that's either inappropriate whilst in lockdown or again provides inspiration to break the lockdown. Seriously have a word with yourselves yeah, many people will be / are being pushed to the edge, mental health is a very serious issue, even more so at this difficult time. In fact to be honest I've stopped watching t.v at the moment with the exception of the daily 5pm Government broadcast. Its all box sets, amazom prime, Netflix and dvds.

Ok so I feel so much better now Ive got that off my chest.

Stay safe, stay healthy, STAY HOME.

Mark
