weekly charity tournament?

Weekly charity tournament with say 25% of the prizepool going to charity. The chosen charity could be decided by the winner of the previous weeks tournament. At a time when smaller charities are really struggling this could be a great opportunity for the poker community to give something back. Maybe sky poker could add some sort of value to this with some tournament tickets as added prizes.

thanks for sharing @KOBAYASHI , it was more to support different charities. It would be the players ultimately donating to charity, sky would just facilitate the weekly payment to the charity.

Why would sky want to get involved in doing this? Seems a massive headache from a regulatory point of view. Lots of players on sky do charitable things. Two MTT guys come to mind @StayOrGo runs lots of charitable things and @FeelGroggy donates his chips in MTTs like its charity!

If players want to make donations to charity then surely they can do it without the need for sky to get involved?

@mnolan8317 If you have an idea and want to raise money for charity via Skypoker, then that has been done before and Skypoker have helped with prizes for participants in some events.

@Stayorgo has run many such an event as mentioned.

@QUICKFEET and @NOSTRI are both doing their own challenges at the moment and getting support for the 2.6 campaign.

Following on from this and also @QUICKFEET 's thread. I will attempt to start a charity heads up competition.

I will post again after the session tonight, it would be good to do something at this time.
