When you look at the faces, and read the names of those that that have given their lives while helping others during the last few months, it is clear that many of them come from immigrant families, or are themselves immigrants.
This didn't stop their sacrifice.
If this was enough to change the minds of the idiotic few, that hate immigrants, then maybe their deaths could have stood for something.
I wish I thought this was more likely.

    Wow really?,

At a time when people are coming together more than ever, I do find this to be a somewhat divisive and confrontational post.

Immigrants have been a major part of the N H S since I was a boy. When I look at a nurse or doctor I only see a person trying to help others. Skin colour, gender, race, creed, religion, sexual orientation never even plays a part in my opinion.

If this was a response to a post that had been put on here then it would be justified but as a stand alone statement it just seems designed to provoke argument.

I just turned the tv over to watch Newsnight, caught the end of the previous programme, and just caught Frankie Boyle, telling Brexit jokes.

    The first one was,

I know its very fashionable at the minute for people to say that everyone that voted for Brexit is stupid.
I don't think that they are stupid.
I think they are just people who voted to put an end to immigration from Europe, because they don't like Pakistanis.

Elderly man, 90, with dementia receives cruel poison-pen letter from a neighbour slamming him for not clapping for the NHS and even mocking his dead wife's religion

Gerald Rex, 90, lives alone in Stevenage after his wife of 70 years Barbara died in a care home. In recent weeks he got a note through his letterbox branding him a 'hypocrite'.

There will I hope, come a point in the life of the person who sent that foul letter, a moment when the awfulness of what they have done will hit home.

If it does they will feel that desperate lurch of self hatred and loathing and hopefully in that instant, they seek forgiveness from those they hurt, and try to become a better human being.

Unfortunately for the world, not everybody gets on speaking terms with their conscience.
