Interesting Question, although I can’t help feeling the dice are loaded.

    Callaghan meh, bit grey.
Thatcher, meh hated by many, loved by many.
    Major, highly intelligent, bit grey.
Blair, did a great job , hated.
Brown, sold “our gold” on eBay.
Cameron, did a good job for a while , then made THE worst political decision in the last decade.
Theresa May, out of her depth.
Boris Johnson, Trump mk.2 loved by many, hated by just as many.

I’ll plump for Blair, for all his faults he seems to care about the working man, and business.

Surely if we go back further there will be better candidates. Perhaps Tikay can help from his personal knowledge of:

    Attlee
    Churchill
    Lloyd-George
    Pitt the Younger

James Callaghan -- Don't know what to say about him.

Margaret Thatcher -- The devil in a dress.

John Major -- Spittin image said it all.

Tony Blair -- If he wis chocolate he would eat himself.

Gordon Brown -- Clever man but weird.

David Cameron -- would stab you in the back in jig time.

Theresa May -- What can you say, unhinged.

Boris Johnson -- Great laugh on HIGNFY, but a looney tune.

The one person I thought wolud have made a good PM was John Smith.

Tony Blair for me yes he made mistakes but on the whole i think he did try and do the right thing. Could you imagine Margaret Thatcher giving the working class 80% pay i doubt it very much.

I think it very much depends on which way you look at it.

The question "handled it best" can be looked at from 2 perspectives.

    a) from the perspective of the population and people

    b) from the perspective of the economy and the health of the Country fiscally

Tony Blair P.M. (anagram of" Im Tory plan B") for A

Margaret Thatcher P.M (anagram of Satans Seed) for B
