My rankings for the 'recurring' promos, in order, from best to worst:
1) Golden Tickets - Ideal balance of rewarding regs/recs IMO, especially with sensible ticket caps.
2) Sky Poker Premiership - Depends what the rewards are for top points scorer(s) for each team and what the incentives are for recs to get some extra points, but historically they've been decent enough.
3) Priority Club (monthly prize draws & bubble insurance) - The monthly RB tiers are probably more incentive to grind than the priority promos themselves nowadays, but these are still decent.
4) DYM streak - Decent enough promo. Still heavily skewed towards volume regs, but it gives recs some hope of winning, albeit slim. Far better than a rake race for that reason.
5) Jump start (points boost for starting tables) - It's pretty ineffective at achieving its intended purpose IMO. Regs still prefer to let a couple of recs sit then sit themselves, with position on the recs after you've gone to the effort of starting the game of course Certainly doesn't affect my thought process when it comes to starting games, or stopping games from breaking when HU/3handed.
6) Rake races - Always makes the games super reggy and not very fun to play in. Recs have no chance of winning, but they get to lose their money faster when there's more regs to every table. IMO unless you're in the top 3-5 places, you're probably better off without regs mass-multitabling for 16 hours a day to try and win the promo and playing in less reggy games, so they only really reward a very select group of players. These are often a "f*** it, I'm playing on another site this month" for me.

Probs some regular promo(s) that I've forgotten about. Not counting things like SPTs, UKOPS etc as promos.
As pretty much a pure MTTer this has never been rivalled
Yeah that promo was decent - Good promo for MTT players @ all levels, regs and recs alike. MTT variance still gives recs a decent shot with a bit of run good and 2-3 deep runs, even if they can't play every MTT, every evening.
Golden Tickets. Being a purely recreational player who doesn’t play cash games, DYM’s ,this is probably the only chance I have of winning anything on a promotion.
It is important to recognise that it is necessary for Sky to vary the promotions. not only in relation to game type (Cash/SNG/MTT) but the type of player to attract.
It has to have BOTH rake race type promos (to increase volume of the few) AND races to attract new players/recs, as well as ones that try and balance the 2.
2 challenges stand out for me, neither of which exist at the moment:-
1. Leaderboard challenges. Just because they suit me; and 2. Anything that involves the chance of going to Vegas
But it is still important to recognise that Sky does better promos than just about everyone else.
A couple of Premiership tournaments having been good for recreational players.
2017 when the promotion was ending there was a £5,000 super league freeroll. Finished third for £450 and Tedson won it for £1,350 which was pretty good for a freeroll.
Few years earlier we got put into teams which gave recreational players a chance to earn cash with some of the top rake earners. Had Alvez11 in my team managed to make a few bob. Think that one was my favourite.
Another fan of The Podium Series here. Seemed by far the best MTT promotion that gave all types of players a chance to compete and get involved. Would be great to see a return of The Podium Series or similar leaderboard promotion.
Although I have not played much on SkyPoker until very recently, poker promotions that are achievable by all are my preference. They are fair.
There are times (especially on other networks at least) where the only winners are the players who can play the highest stakes or have the most spare time.
The streak week currently running or the golden ticket week coming up are examples where anyone can win. There are prizes for basically the whole spectrum of buyins for the streaks, and for the Golden Tickets it is reasonably and fairly capped so all player have almost the same chance of winning.
As I am planning on playing a lot more on SkyPoker in the future, I am certainly looking forward to what promotions are in store.

I wish there were more but for obvious reasons, there none now.
Build up to 1 Billlionth
7,000,000
one-billionth-milestone-hand
8000-millionth-hand

The 1.5 billionth is due soon.
I wish there were promotions for sequences.
1,111,111,111 , 2,222,222,222 1,234,567,890 and the like.

No, Sky Poker won't be running a Mini UKOPS Leaderboard.
However, some of the lads are running a charity-based one, the details are

As a small stakes mtt rec I always though this promotion gave me a chance.
Personal challenge
Example
You’d get an email saying you’d made 2k points last month.
Make 5k points this month and get a £100 bonus
It really was in your own hands then and everyone benefitted.
I could win a £100
Sky got the extra rake
