What a day we had yesterday. Fund-raising threads galore on the Forum, by
@Quickfeet @NOSTRI &
@StayOrGo amongst others & which were supported by so many of the Forum regulars, whilst on the tables it was another day of monster fields & prize pools.
The headline has to go to the Sunday Major, which for the 2nd straight week broke the record for biggest ever Major, last week's seemingly unbeatable number nudged aside as last night's renewal came to £30,700, made up of 266 Uniques & 41 re-entries.
In all the featured MTT's had aggregate Guarantees of £48,000, & came in at £71,650, covering by 49%.
I'm in my 14th year here & I've never known such numbers or exciting times, but it's all very bitter-sweet, coming as it does against the backdrop of this ghastly virus.

AAACal only has one previous mention on these threads & that was in this very same MTT exactly a week ago, when he ran 6th. That dummy-run did the trick & he went on to take last night's renewal. In fact he played just 2 MTT's last night, winning this one & ending up 18th in the £10,000 version that started half an hour later.
Tough final table too, with the likes of Gambelo, alancarr, mattprawn & heddoh all vying for top spot, with The Bates being FT bubble boy.

Another huge field, easily beating last week's prize pool of £14,670.5ausages collected almost £2,400 for the win, beating the £1,022 he collected for 7th in the Sunday Major at the end of March.
Groggs has been unstoppable of late, not just in MTT's but via a double win in Streak Week, & he picked up another £1,660+ here, ahead of mvg899.

mrwozza played his first MTT since the same event a week ago, (86th of 252) & ended up taking home a few shillings shy of £8,000.
peiratis88 was 2nd, with Specialist Mouse Mat Man TEDSON 3rd, and Tim Tim Timmy, King of the DYM's, 5th.
Way too many familiar names cashed to mention but we'll make exceptions for recent returnee @YOUNG_GUN & Ambo himself, who left us all in no doubt of his views on how well the Government is dealing with the virus a few days ago. Reading between the lines I got the impression he was not impressed. Just a hunch, mind.

You'd need to search all the way back to 2013 for the last mention of the winner, though he did run deep in the Reload on Saturday.
What a wonderful alias the runner-up has. It must surely be a fan of the late Rik Mayall.
-LEON- has been here since day 1, but my attempt to find previous mentions sent the forum software into convulsions, & I ended up on one of those dreadful "Something went wrong" pages.
With 75 paid, lots of familiar & mostly friendly names, far too many to namecheck, but we'll make exceptions for MISTY4ME (8th) & for Uncle Grumps ((10th), who can put those winnings towards the 37th new car he has purchased in the last 5 years. A Volvo this time. Good Lord, they still make Volvos?

No disrespect to the other 5 finalists, but on this occasion the headline has to go to @NOSTRI for his charity work yesterday & the way he has been so helpful behind the scenes to many. I suspect this man has a book in him, he seems to have led quite the life, & he seems very content with his lot. Respect.

The Bates has reaped a rich harvest this week but I doubt he's had to do battle with many Final Tables stronger than this one.

With deep runs elsewhere, including that monster Major, and a win here, StayOrGo was still somehow managing to post on all the forum charity threads during the evening. He was still able to hold off Groggs though, forced to settler for 2nd twice in the session.

Very wise to avoid that other topic if I may make so bold. It'd be like @HAYSIE on speed.
How you coping without the horses Mr C? Bet it's been a while since you had so few bets. Gotta love the over-round on the USA racing though.
