Good morning.
Mini UKOPS Day 6 is in the bag, but it began rather badly, when the opener missed guarantee by 26 entries. It's only £130, & I daresay Sky Poker will somehow weather the storm, but the first 25 Mini UKOPS events had all covered, so it blotted the copybook somewhat. All we have to do now is find out what a copybook is. Everyone has heard the expression, but I doubt many know what a copybook is, so I asked Mr Google, & he explained;
"a book containing models of handwriting for learners to imitate"
People still write by hand? With pens & pencils, like? Good grief.
Anyway, the remaining Mini UKOPS events all did just fine, with prize pools exceeding guarantees by 47%.
The Mini "Main" excelled as always, but perhaps the star turn again was the closer, a £3 Rebuy, which made £3,429 against it's £2,000 guarantee. It had not occurred to me until Sky James mentioned it, but this is effectively the nightly "Reload", temporarily dressed up in Mini UKOPS clothing. £3,429 for a £3 Rebuy on Sky Poker is monsta. Course, over on 'Stars, it'd probably make 3 trillion & take a fortnight to reach the money.
A contender for Player Of The Series emerged in the Mini Main, as we shall see shortly.

£3,000 Mini UKOPS 26 BH (£3,000)
This was a pretty big score for dangerdai, who is a regular in the Monday evening Triple Takedown affair, & he must have done well to fend off the looming presence of The Bates in 2nd.3rd was Wombwell, which is a little town in West Yorkshire, & used to be the home of the infamous Monckton Coke & Chemical Company. Oh my, if anywhere depicted **** on earth it was that factory. I learned this morning that in fact it closed in 2014. Good job too.

This painting depicts that factory, & depicts it with great accuracy. Shudder at the thought.
£1,500 Mini UKOPS 27 Mega Stack BH (£3,470)
Almost £3,500 for a fiver Mega Stack, oh my, Mega Stacks seem to be really gaining in popularity.
Quite a session for the winner, rossckoo, who later went on to run 2nd of 109 for ~£100 in a fiver BH that kicked off at 0030.
Runner-up Mcbluffans has limited MTT history here, & had been MIA for 10 days.
4th was the gloriously named pigeonpie, & you may be surprised that pigeonpie really is a thing. For the most part, it's a meal that's enjoyed by the French, which won't surprise anyone.

£1,000 Mini UKOPS 28 BH (£1,070)
One of the problems I have with these Mini UKOPS write-ups is that I don't know many of the players. utang won this, & I was a mite surprised to see that he has played close to 7,000 MTT's here, & has made some serious money along the way.
winnie29 in 4th reminds me of my late Aunty Winnie who I lived with briefly in Wootton Rivers as a young child. She was that extremely rare example of an 80 year old blind diabetic cyclist, but it all ended rather badly if not predictably & suddenly one morning when there was a coming together with the weekly bus to Marlborough. We never saw that coming, & I guess neither did she.

£5,000 Mini UKOPS 29 BH (£7,360)
For the Forum regulars, this was dominated by the efforts NOSTRI, Palace Bloke & several of the Mini UKOPS Challenge chaps, & I note old-stager lyonsbob was in the mix too.
With due respect to those lads though, the standout performance of the night & indeed whole series (so far) was ribeiro66, who was winning the Mini UKOPS "Main" for the 2nd time in 5 nights. Doubt anyone has ever won 2 Mini UKOPS Mains before, & certainly not in 5 nights. Big fields both times too. Take a bow ribeiro.
Perusing the minor placings, my eye fell upon the chap in 21st, Mr Knob_End. Door handle supplier, perhaps?

PlzFold has a limited MTT history here, & this win gave him one of those beautiful Sharky spikes we all crave.
Can't keep a good man down & so it proved with goldnballz in 3rd. I gather he gets 50% & Paula gets 75%.
