primo freeroll

entered this freeroll as i am starting to play mtt's a lot more than i used to and was going along very nicely, was 7th out of 150 and top 15 get entry to primo, i am always wary of getting involved with a big stack and didnt really wanna take him on as i always feel i will lose for some reason, but the thing that really hurt was he let the timer run down on every call really made me think he had little and was drawing to something. basically he just got lucky and i didnt, lol

is it possible to get away from this hand?

    hmmm, its kind of a terrible flop for you because people tend to call with broadway cards and so there are a lot of hands that have you beat... the problem is your stack... you only have about 30BBs at the start of the hand i think?
    I personally would bet smaller on the flop... something like 60-70% pot maybe?  The turn i may be tempted to check back, i just really hate that flop! Like every half decent hand has got you beat!
    I would like to bet flop, check back turn and if either call river or value bet if checked to...
    Could you not post the result next time please webby until later.

    good point balckfish, maybe then you wouldnt have got out of the hand with still most of your chips lol

    i came 23rd in one the other day, really annoying, blinds were so high the guy in 1st place had about 10 big blinds, was literally a lottery

    in these freerolls i dont mess about with small raises with AA,KK i just get it all in pre flop and pray to the poker gods, used to do 3 times the big blind but kept on getting 4 callers lol with one always hitting

    early on loony thats what i might do, just go all in with massive hands and generally someone will call but this stage of the game there werent many loose players, some good play actually for a change lol

    This is exactly why I don't bother with them. You might as well give them your points & have your name picked out of a hat. Now, if it was something like 1 in 5 to go through, a whole new ball game.
