Who won what Wednesday 13th May

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,011

Morning.

Numbers were remarkably similar w-o-w, with the £1,000 BH, Mega Stack, Sheriff & £3k Turbo all doing slightly better, & the rest slightly worse.

Regular readers will know that the Main Events on Monday & Tuesday this week were both identical to their respective renewal a week earlier. Could it happen 3 nights running? Well no, but it definitely hit the crossbar, £15,360 against £15,480, or looked at another way, 741 entries v 745 entries. I'm tempted to fall into that trap we see repeated so often & describe them as "almost exactly the same", which of course is a ridic statement, as by definition nothing can be "almost exactly". These are the things I get troubled by, which seems adequate evidence that I am suffering cabin fever from being in lockdown too long.

£3,000 BH @ 7pm £3,350

£1,000 BH @ 7.30pm £1,620

£10,000 Predator £15,360

£3,000 Predator Mini £3,705

£2,000 Mega Stack £2,700

£3,000 Sheriff £4,000

£3,000 Turbo BH £3,570

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,850

£1,500 Mid Ex £2,460

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,620)

Lord Crush, no doubt miffed that Melty took over at the top of the Sharky "Most Profit on Sky Poker in 2020" leaderboard 2 days ago, leapfrogged back into the top spot with this win.

    £3,000 Mini Predator (£3,705)

This went the way of richiegone, who won Mini Major at the end of March. He has a cracking Sharky graph, just relentlessly northbound in the 9 years he has been here. Sadly, this result won't be reflected in it as once again Sharky never listed the Mini.

After his Mini UKOPS heroics alongside @NOSTRI, Allan23 has gone solo now & was a fine 4th.

One of those statistical oddities, as GFKIJKLL took this for the 2nd week running, although he earned over £100 more this week as there were more runners & he took more heads.

Another success for ozzieowen, who won Sheriff last Friday.

GFKIJKLL so nearly made it two in a row but came up just shy, The_Sweede turnipped up in 4th with The Bates 6th.

Quality right through the field in this one, with 7th to 10th filled by railtard, Doooobs BRADERS & mcg899.

sandhu05 has had a bunch of decent scores lately, including 7th in Sunday Major 3 days earlier for just short of £1,000.

@AKAScotty is back. He posted at end of March to say that things were tough with no work due to the lockdown thing & was running bad at the tables, so self-excluded for a while. No idea when he returned, but no matter its just good to see him back. PS - he's never got it.

Sharki0 had been AWOL for 3 days, but it did him good, running 8th in the Main for about £300, then winning this for another £600.

For 6 weeks gaming123 has been on a bit of a downswing, this reversed the trend & hopefully, as Yazz once warbled, the only way is up.

You reminded me of this episode of The West Wing where the phrase very unique is used.

    Good one @MattBates

Patrick Leonard uses very unique a lot.

Another is "brand new". Seems to me new is new, no idea what brand adds.

    4 equal quarters is another.

There must be a term for such things. tautology, maybe?

Yes, he uses very fun a lot.

Not sure he is being inventive with language or it just comes out that way, but I find it quite enjoyable in an odd way, as normally that sort of thing irritates me. Not sure I've seen very fun from anyone else. Such an odd expression, but it's grammatically correct, as "very" can mean "to a high degree". He needs to get it copyrighted.
