We try to avoid early cut-off times during the week, but we are going to make an exception today. It's either that or we do USA Horse Racing, with all the attendant mess that the inevitable late non-runners causes us, & I really want to avoid that where possible, it's not fair on any of us. Apologies in advance who miss the "Early Start" warning, but it just seems best to avoid USA racing when we possibly can. Football will be back on Friday, & all weekend, incidentally.
So, Saint-Cloud mid afternoon it is.
14.35 - 1 mile handicap, 5 y-o+, 18 runners, going SOFT
15.10 - 1 mile handicap, 5 y-o+, 18 runners, going SOFT
Saint-Cloud is a lovely racecourse, near Paris, & is officially a "Listed Monument" or whatever the French equivalent is. It hosts a few Group 1's each year, too. It's correct title is Hippodrome de Saint-Cloud, & jolly nice it is too.
Our two races are fearfully competitive - they currently go 7/1 & 11/2 the field respectively - but it should be better than the USA stuff. (Bound to be a bunch of NR's now).
