If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians Ch13 v 3 - 7 (N I V)
My prayers as always are for you all.

I'm not Religious but have friends that are , not expert on any faith just listen with interest & cherry pick.
Please if you feel you can , return and resume your thread sure players here gain from looking in and reading the passages you post. I do........ put your hand in the wound and believe.
I'm on a similar boat to goldon, non-reglious, friends who are and curious. Had sent one or two to a friend.
Hope to see the passage again soon.
Your own journey into faith would be great read ..... we do need you here on the Rail.
I have thought long and hard about whether or not to continue to post the passages etc.
My biggest concern was that I was doing it as a crutch for myself and not for the benefit of readers.
I have however after consideration (and prayer) decided to continue because I feel that one day, somebody will read a passage or a thought that will make a difference. Even if it's only a small thing in one specific instant.
My Church friends know that I posted the passages and readings and were often curious about why I did it, especially as I am not using the thread as a recruiting tool.
My explanation goes like this.
I can stand in any place at any time and suddenly become aware of the beauty of birdsong. This does not make me rush to understand ornithology, but I can, if only for the briefest of moments lose myself in the wonder and beauty of that sound and be lifted in spirit and mind.
Hope that makes sense.
