Who won what, Thursday 21st May

A very good Friday morning to you all.

apropos nothing at all really, but did you know it's a Bank Holiday on Monday? What with lockdown & so many of us being stuck at home & indoors, seems a bit weird having a Bank Holiday. And what is a Bank Holiday these days? With Online banking, our banks are open 24/7/365. And don't you think "indoors" is a weird expression?

I'm sorry, I went off on one there.

So, back on topic, compared to last week a much much better night, although if you recall, a week ago there was that Virgin Media problem which left huge swathes of the UK sans internet connectivity. Still, with 7 of the 9 Featured MTT's doing better w-o-w - & significantly better - I think we should take the glass half-full route & be delighted. Oddly, the 2 exceptions were Mini & Midnight Express, both of which have performed admirably night after night.

£3,000 BH £3,450 (£3,100)

£1,000 BH £1,760 (£1,400)

£10,000 Hitman Main £14,280 (£13,980)

£3,000 Hitman Mini £3,420 (£3,725)

£2,000 Mega Stack £2,800 (£2,440)

£3,000 Sheriff £4,100 (£3,050)

What a tough line up this was, with the likes of StayOrGo, Kerrnal Sanders, scotty, The Bates & Melty all vying for the win, not to mention tug180 who ran 3rd in Quickdraw 2 nights earlier.

    Kawaii420 took this one. 90% of his play is in Six Max SNG's where he does very well, though 70% of his profit emanates from MTT's. He had been AWOL for 10 days prior to yesterday, but he returned with a bang, playing some 40 Six Max SNG's, mainly at the £10 or £20 level & making a few bob along the way. Here's the thing though - alongside his SNG's he played a handful of MTT's;

    £1,500 BH @ 3pm, 1st of 64, £430.

    £500 BH @ 4pm, 5th of 52, £24.

    £1,000 BH @ 7.30pm, 1st of 88, £433.

    £10,000 Main, 13th of 390, £245.

A rare example of a player who can cut it in both MTT's & SNG's.

The winner seems to have very little Sky Poker MTT history prior to last night. That's all changed now, he's a Main Event winner.

Great to see Wacko90 playing a game or two here again. Back in 2015 he played more MTT's than any other player on Sky Poker, but for various reasons he moved on. In the last 2 nights he has just played the Sky Poker Main, & finalled both times - 6th on Wednesday, 4th last night. I confess to being a bit of a Wacko fanboy, you won't find a more decent bloke on the site. Forum regulars will know we often see threads about those who abuse players in the chat box. I bet Wacko has never done that once. Proper bloke, see?

There were 2 BH's that kicked off at 10pm, & NooGooood finished 3rd in the £20 version & won the £30 one. Nice when you have 2 MTT's on the go & make the final in both.

I'm about to DM @Tikay10 with my new idea....

    100,000 starting stack, 60 min blinds, 1 re-entry.

    And it's pot-limit.

All poker should be Pot Limit. I so miss the days of Pot Limit Hold 'Em.
