The Sots are canny...They didnt vote for independence last time as if it got through, who will pay the £8b deficit in their accounts we currently fund?

which presumably they use to give free stuff to peeps that we don't get in England.....

50+ Scottish MP's in our parliament, yet we can little or no say on Scottish affairs

Sturgeon or Johnson? I don't trust either BUT I distrust her less!

please explain how England funds Scotland? thought it was a Union?

It is. But due to the vagaries implicit within the Barnett formula, England subsidises Scotland by a significant amount.

Only because you don't include all the revenue streams in your calculations

Ah. The good old "Scottish" oil argument. And ignoring economics, the fact that almost all the investment is foreign, and that oil no longer contributes significantly.

Which of course makes Sturgeon a very skilled politician. 9/10.

be more condescending ........ it doesn't matter who owns or invests in the various oil fields, the tax still goes to Westminster and after all that is how the Barnet Formula is worked out, but it is omitted from any arguments

    Condescending?

Been lucky enough to spend time in the Shetlands.
They think mainland Scots manage to out-condescend even us English on this subject...

    Getting back to the Sturgeon.

Groomed for the role by Alex Salmond.
Manages to ally with Labour in England, and attack them in Scotland.
Lost the Independence Referendum, which (obviously) is vital to the SNP.
And yet has massively increased the SNP's popularity.

That is one very capable politician.
And I hate it when people descend to criticising her looks or dress sense.

Like our PM is a style icon or a dreamboat...

Confident to say Scotland and England have leaders that have the best interests of their countries at heart.

I don't know much on the other countries that are part of the UK political wise.
