Has anyone been the victim of the title?
What service from the Bank did you receive ?
My good lady checks our account regularly, this week she noticed a few Amazon bills that she didn’t recognise, also the card used was one which she hasn’t registered with them., it’s a new card which she assures me she hasn’t registered on ANY online retailer.
In the past her Pay Pal account has been hacked and quite a tidy sum was taken out, we were pleasantly surprised at our banks response, we got all the money back.
It’s the same this time, she rang the fraud number and the chap confirmed that someone had set up another account with Amazon using her name and the NEW card details, I’m bemused how this could have happened, as it only arrived not long ago.
There was ‘pending’ transactions which the chap on the line said he’d cancel, and told us the money would be back in our account soon ( Wife told me when soon was, but I forgot)
He also asked her if in these uncertain times if she was ok for money, and if we had another way of accessing money as he’d cancelled the card, which I think was nice.

Would say though, with subscription services being big now. Amazon Prime, Disney, Spotify etc it's always worth checking in and seeing what you are paying for.
The free month/free week thing can be a bit of a trap too. Easy to quickly sign up to watch something once and forget about the tie in you have.
Had to debate with companies to get refunds in the past and got to a point where I cancelled all DD's to see what I actually used and needed each month, adding in one at a time again.
Amazon can be clever with their dark patterns making it harder to cancel something you may not realise you are paying for in addition to your ordered item. Amazon Prime is one example.
Easy to be tripped up and have been caught in the past.
