Been to Wolves three times and love it! Was really surprised first time I went how quiet it was...a group of us went 3/4 years on the trot on grand national weekend for the fri/sat but they changed it last year I think so we didn't bother. It's a great course to visit with the hotel there and basically get up..sit in the bar all day then nip to room get changed and paddock just outside the bar! First year I went had 5 out of the 6 winners and had a selfie with my then favourite jockey (Freddie Tylicki) after he'd rode a winner I backed...managed to chop my head off the pic with being a bit worse for wear but with what subsequently happened it's a picture I really treasure...
Lovely story. What a tragedy it was for poor Freddie when he had that dreadful do at Kempton. He does a few studio gigs for Sky Sports Racing now, but he must yearn to be back on a horse.
No worries bud, but I did think it odd you missed as you rarely do. It was weird yesterday, normally Monday gets a lot of entries, but we were well down. I did wonder if it was because the quality of racing was a bit naff, but it's hard to tell - today we are at Wolverhampton, hardly Royal Ascot, but we seem to be getting more entries.
