Forum Comp Day 2, TUESDAY. 16.40 Royal Ascot & 17.20 Thirsk

Good feedback yesterday as to horse or football - or both - though the results were inconclusive. @TheEdge949 made an excellent point, in that the two don't mix very well, one 12/1 winner at the horses makes it very difficult to pull it back on football where the 1-2-X prices rarely tend to be above 3/1. Anyway, let's see how we go. We'll probably stick mostly with the horses this week & then try to do a full week of football next week.
So, on to today. It would have been great to do both races from Royal Ascot today, but the penultimate race at Ascot is 16.10 which is a bit early for many of our regulars, especially now that lockdown is easing.
So we will do the last at Ascot (16.40) then head north to Thirsk for their 17.20.
I have to warn you, both races are really tough, huge field handicaps, extreme distances too - 1 at 2m 4f, the other 5f. Good luck getting a Double Whammy with those two.
16.40 Ascot - 2m 4f Handicap, 20 runners, Good.
17.20 Thirsk - 5f handicap, 14 runners, Good to Soft.
Royal Ascot behind closed doors will be very strange, but at least we'll be spared all this fashion nonsense.
