Yeah I don't really see anyway you're getting away from this despite being 40+bb effective. Can have A4, can have Ax hearts, possibly getting out of line with other flush draws. Just a cold deck, unlucky!

Would need very specific notes on opponent to even entertain any possibility of not losing my stack in this hand.

Yes I agree very specific notes to think a set. I had a feeling he had 44s but in my head there wasnt really any other option than to go broke in this spot. It was very frustrating as i was 6/13 and slowly building a stack for the final table and then this car crash hand!

I'm going broke here pretty much all the time.

Villain is doing this with way less than a set too often.
