Who won what, Saturday June 20th

Good morning.

Acceptable numbers last night, despite wall to wall televised Premier League Football. Football had been on TV all day, & the "climax" was Bournemouth v Palace, not a game that would whet* the appetite of any but the most hardened football fans.

* "whet" - what a strange word that it, spelt the way it is. That's the correct spelling, but I've no idea why. God knows how those who come to the UK from overseas ever learn our language.

Back on topic, everything did acceptably last night & covered by around 10% to 15%, though Quickdraw let the side down & missed by one entry. I daresay Sky Poker will survive.

Tonight could be interesting, with the Everton v Liverpool kicking off at 7pm & some punchy guarantees on offer.

    £10,000 Sharpshooter (£11,820)

Liamgods makes his thread & forum debut. Just 15 MTT's shown on Sharky, & a strange mix, but this was a spectacular result by any standards.

ffbuwliens continues to roll along nicely, 2nd in Quickdraw on Wednesday, 3rd in BWBH on Friday & now 2nd in Main.

In 6th was gregkdy82. Over 90% of his play is at DYM's, where he does really well, but over half of his considerable profit comes from those MTT's.

It's been 14 months since the winner graced these threads, & it looks like he single tabled the Mini all the way. I have no idea how anyone can single table for 4 or 5 hours, I certainly could not, but we are all different & it clearly works for him.

Exactly a week after running 3rd in the Mini, Foresight went a spot better. It'd be so neat if he were to win it next Saturday.

Ironpump, 5th in the earlier BH, made his 2nd FT of the evening.

Nice score for Stokey too, 12th for £26, which will keep him ticking over for a few days. He's such a great bloke, & the way he approaches Online Poker is so good. He just sets out to enjoy himself & he does, whether he wins or loses. In all the years he's been here I don't think he's ever moaned about a bad beat. Proper bloke.

Perseverance pays for bigfish, 2nd in this on Monday, 14th on Thursday but now he gets to stand atop the podium.

A 2nd FT of the evening for Twitcheroo specialist Guitar Bloke, with Cammykaze in 5th.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,750)

A really strong FT, with Mean Machine getting the better of the likes of miniman, Arrogant & JessieaK, not to mention the super-hot ApolloCree, who won this 2 nights earlier.

It's non-stop mentions of the oddly-aliased ffbuwliens, 2nd in the Main for £1,170 an hour or so earlier, and now another ~£675. Good night's work, that.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,500)

Player Of The Week might just have to go the way of gac123, winning his 4th Headline MTT in 5 nights, including wins on successive nights twice. This week's haul included winning Sheriff twice, £3k BH, & now Quickdraw, as well as 2nd in Friday's Turbo. That's some run.

MAXALLY, who seems to get his best results late at night, was 3rd, with Arrogant & Melty 5th & 6th.

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,860)

FIZBAN won this for the 2nd time in 3 nights. What is it with all these doubles?

Seems to be an abundance of z's on the FT, FIZBAN, wazzaaaaaa & Stozzaa.

Talking of z's, have you ever seen those bright sparks who can't help typing zzzzzzzz into the chat box when someone disconnects or is slow to act? It always made me think it's a shame they could not come up with something more original. Or maybe, you know, show a little patience or tolerance.

You might need to update Sky Poker's House Rules then. Everyone is just following the Guidance. Now, where did we hear that recently.

    Be Patient & Polite
On the flip side, if a player at your table is using all of their time bank when in a hand every time, please address the issue in a polite way. Most of the time a short string of 'zzzz' in the chat box will work. Sometimes the delay is not under the player's control, but they may appreciate you letting them know as often a lagging player will actually think it's the whole game, not realising it's their fault.
