I promised to give the football fans some overdue attention, so that will be the main focus this week. As was explained recently, mixing football & horse racing does work at a push, but it's not ideal due to the differing variance.
You may be a little surprised to see Cheltenham v Northampton as our feature game, but the Man City v Burnley headliner sees City at 1/8 & Burnley 18/1, which won't be much fun.
Our game might be OK, too, it's televised & is the 2nd leg of the League Two play-off semi-final, whatever all that means. Please note we settle the result based on 90 minutes, extra time or penalties do not count.
Cheltenham Town v Northampton Town @ 8pm
Lovely & idiosyncratic how so many football clubs still use the term "Town" in their official name - there are no less than 8 of them in League Two. There you go, another fascinating stat.
Here's the venue, which is not exactly The Emirates or Old Trafford, but does rejoice in the splendid name of Jonny Rokks Stadium. And if anyone knows who or what Jonny Rokks is, I'm all ears, as I have no idea. I do know it's the 6th name the stadium had had in 11 years though.

On TV you can now have artificial crowd noise, & as we see here from the first leg, cardboard cut out spectators. Has the world gone mad, or is it just me?
I struggled to find a Match Preview until I chanced upon one on Betfair, & this might be the first time a link to Betfair has appeared on here, but they are now Sky Poker's step-dad, in a manner of speaking, so I guess it's cool.
Note this is the 2nd leg, & Cheltenham lead 2-0 after the first leg.

This is Ben Tozer, who used to play for Northampton but now plies his trade with Cheltenham.
