Who won what, Sunday 12th July. A remarkable Major.

How come Monday seems to come round every 5 days, & there only seem to be 18 hours in a day now?
On Twitter last night poker playing sensation Patrick Leonard, who helps run one of the largest "stables" in poker, was giving it large as to how bad the poker economy is, without perhaps realising the irony in that stables don't really help much. Fact is, looked at on an annual basis, yesterday was traditionally one of the quietest Sunday's of the year, due to good weather, sport galore, barbecues everywhere. Traffic is probably still higher now, or at least similar, than it was in January, & that's never happened before in the northern hemisphere. Like these Results Threads, Patrick only discusses MTT's, but MTT's are only a relatively small % of the total poker cake & not everything in the world of poker should be judged by MTT traffic, though it is a decent guide. Now, if I could just get Patrick to teach me how to play poker better, everything in the garden would be just fine, or as Patrick might say, very fun.
Anyway, no matter, Sky Poker seems to operate in a little bubble of it's own, somewhat divorced to what is going off at the likes of 'Stars, Party, GG etc. Perhaps because it is UK only, perhaps as it is a mainly recreational site, perhaps as it is small enough that the players get superb Customer Care, & perhaps because perhaps is gonna perhaps.
Anyway, enough of all that. Numbers last night were, for the most part, very acceptable for this time of year imo, & it was especially pleasing to see the £8k BH & £15k Major both cover very comfortably. The only disappointment was the Mini Major, which missed for the 2nd straight Sunday, & 5th time in 8 days. £300 was the miss last night so nobody will die, but the Minis are struggling a little to hit the current Guarantees.

Extraordinary stuff.
Thank goodness he did win it too, as it prevented HAYSIEONANDONANDON from winning it for the 3rd time this year. I'm pretty sure he does not outplay his opponents, he just argues them into submission, he's like a dog with a bone, he just won't let go. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him, but I'm not going to.
In 3rd was NooGoood, who seems to be getting better & better, and there was a fine effort by the Boring Accountant in 4th.
In 18th was hughjarse9, way back in the day when I did Poker Night Live there was an identical alias & it seemed to amuse many. There was also a hoofarted, again to the amusement of many. Sense of humour is a very subjective thing.
