Is this similar to the AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons thing?

Sure that was the teams a few years back. One club "died" and was fan led into MK Dons....

There's comparisons but MK dons replaced Wimbledon in League One where as Bury got booted out entirely and this new club has to start from the very bottom and is effectively a new club.

They'll surely have the biggest fan base for a good few divisions because the old Bury are/were one of the oldest British clubs.

Not sure about the Isle of Man fanbase, tho. Must be some demand. Maybe it's these guys...

Wimbledon fans hate MK Dons as far as they were concerned their club was stripped and forced to move to Milton Keynes , they formed their own club and started at the bottom of the pyramid where as MK Dons took their place in the league much to the bemusement of the rest of the league..there's not much love for MK Dons
