Blooming heck, I played for the spitfires for one season just after they changed the name from Stoke Sentinels and the merged with Newcastle Knights. Played R.B on the O and linebacker on the D. Then somebody realised that i could slot a rugby ball over the posts from 30m and decided I should kick as well.
Had to be really adaptable in the early days of American football in England.

Best Junior football team in the South West of Scotland. Maybe even the country, anyone able to back this up or know of another Junior team that would be up there?

This is still the case because of participation, at least in the lower divisions - When I was with Swindon Storm a few years back, we had a LB who also played RB, punter, was our backup kicker, and backup/3rd string QB depending on availability.
We usually had 30-40 players for each game, but some of the teams we played against would have somewhere in the low 20s, so most of them were playing both ways the entire game.
