Name this Sky Poker player, where the photo was taken, & what he was likely to be thinking about.

That's Lake Mead and markycash. He is thinking 'thank you Sky Poker'. That's what I was thinking at the time too!

I love it there and I want to go back now.

Got it in one, none other than @markycash

That's the Hoover Dam & the wonderful new Memorial Bridge in the background.

We took this pic from that bridge. The road looks a bit surreal from up there and a bit like a video game especially with those 3 wheeler cars on the left that I'd not seen before or seen since.

Dam the Water Level's down I'll send this picture and give it a plug.

That's a great photo @kapowblamz and you are right, those brightly coloured three-wheelers were all the rage in Vegas that year but I've never seen one anywhere since.

Never seen these bizarre "inclined" electricity pylons anywhere else either, though there are over a dozen of them at Hoover Dam.

Woh! I'd forgotten about those pylons. The whole place is an engineer's wet dream.

I often think about the guys who built the dam in the first place and the ridiculous hard work involved in the ridiculous high temperatures. It seems impossible. Rest In Peace the lot of them.

+1 to that. I was in heaven looking at all that amazing civil engineering in one place. It's miles from anywhere & unless you have been to Nevada or Arizona, it's impossible to understand how hot it is.

Incidentally, one side of the Dam is in Nevada, the other side is in Arizona.

Ye we stayed in Williams, Arizona after visiting the dam. Loved it.

They do random free cowboy shows in the middle of the road which include little people (correct term i think), adultery, murder, and fake guns.

    On the dam...

Got this pic further down the dam on a chopper ride that summer.

Was trying to find some older photos of @Tikay10 but didn't find anything too incriminating :disappointed:

There was this one of him sleeping on air...

    This one might be better.

We know who but where, what is going on and what is he thinking.

You have so much more of a tan than you seem to get when you are in Vegas.

Nevada is enduring a drought so Lake Mead is shrinking and because of this this old wild west town was rediscovered , it was known as St Thomas
