Who won what, Sunday 9th August

Morning.

I was like a kid in a sweet shop yesterday. The F1 GP from Silverstone - which was interesting for once - the Snooker, Moto GP, Superbikes (British & World), Super League, and of course the season's first Golf Major. After several months of life without sport, suddenly we are being spoilt.

Considering all the sport, & the blistering hot weather again, the numbers on Sky Poker were surprisingly good, or perhaps more correctly surprisingly not bad. There were very small misses for Mini & Mid Ex, with everything else just about scrambling over the line.

£8,000 BH £8,130

£15,000 Sunday Major £15,100

£2,500 Mini Major £2,500

£1,500 Mega £1,500

£2,500 Sheriff £2,700

£2,000 Turbo £2,310

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,650

£1,500 Mid Ex £1,500

    £8,000 Bounty Hunter (£8,130)

Shabafoo is an infrequent visitor to Sky Poker MTT's, it's taken him 2 years to play less than 120 of them. His previous biggest cash was £117, but he popped up last night with a win in the £8k BH which was worth almost £1,370. It sent his previously rather glum Sharky graph into overdrive too. Shabadabafoo.

Runner-up Ciders1d was playing just his 2nd MTT in August, though he did run 10th in the same one a fortnight ago.

    @Shabafoo 1355000 1 £1091.86 + £276.16 Head Prizes 8

    £15,000 Sunday Major (£15,100)

Dog Bloke returned to Sky Poker MTT's last week, & was cashing all over the shop without finding a win, 2nd & 3rd in Quickdraw, 2nd & 4th in the Turbo, 2nd in the £1k BH. He was just warming up though & he put his serious head on last night & took down the Major for a very useful £4,152.

WOMBAT2011 has not caught the judge's eye much lately, 2nd in a £10k BH for £1,500 back in May being the only notable score. That all changed last night, 2nd for £2,416 & his best result ever.

MRBLEWPIE & newdaddy, both of whom are a model of consistency, took 4th & 5th.

In 7th was Ambo, aka @NChanning. £590 for 7th was not so dusty, but perhaps better than that, he tipped (& backed) Collin Morikawa at 30/1 to win the USA PGA, so that was a nice score for him & Betting Emporium subscribers. I have no idea how much he had on Morikawa, & it's rude to ask, but I doubt it was loose change.

    £2,500 Mini Major (£2,500)

Curt360x27 had a really good Easter UKOPS, since when he has been a little subdued, but he took down the Mini Major last night to get back on his winning bike.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

Back in April, cmads96 was super hot for a few days, 2 wins plus 3rd in UKOPS 36. He's been under the radar since then, but bounced back by winning the Mega from scotty.

In 3rd, & just back from another holiday was Jac35. That man has more holidays than Gloria Hunniford. He'll be due another new car next week too, just you watch.

    £2,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,700)

The winner is maybe named in honour of Leeroy Jenkins who was (is?) a character in World of Warcraft, whatever that is. A children's game I assume.

Proper hot FT this, with Team Big Boy well in evidence.

I can't really comment on the winner as I know exactly zilch about him & a cursory search of the usual places yielded nothing.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,650)

wineli booked his seat via a £3 satellite & a few hours later had turned it into £540.

    Another super hot FT, too.

In 7th was Doooobs, who usually does well in the Major but drew a blank last night. He probably backed Collin Morikawa though.
