Morning.

Oh my, this high humidity is such a pain, even at night there's no relief. It must be horrendous for those who are bed-ridden, or in a wheelchair.

Talking of sticky situations, this weather is killing poker traffic, & last night was a full-on bloodbath. The Main missed by over a balloon, & in total, the misses came close to £2,500. *shudder*

It's not restricted to Sky Poker, either, I heard several of the big UK facing sites have had a terrible time since this heatwave began. Bleurgh.

£1,000 BH £1,100

£8,000 Predator Main £8,000

£2,000 Predator Mini £2,000

£1,500 Mega £1,500

£2,500 Sheriff £2,500

£2,000 Turbo £2,000

£1,500 Quickdraw £1.500

£1,500 Mid Ex £1,500

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,100)

    By his standards, Arrogant has been a little subdued of late. Remember, this is the guy who made FOUR headline finals on the bounce one night in May, & from 6 MTT's he finished 2nd, 6th, 1st, 6th, 9th & 9th. All sheer luck, of course.

    2nd was Pumpy, Melty was 4th & Braycorp 6th. It's a tough gig when you have to beat that lot to win a £20 comp.

    @Arrogant 165000 1 £203.50 + £121.49 Head Prizes 7

    @Ironpump1 0 2 £121 + £57.42 Head Prizes 6

    We don't see or hear too much about Hoff92, but when he wins he usually wins big. At the end of April he won the Hitman which broke the record for the biggest ever Hitman Prize Pool, and in January of last year he won the Main & Mini on the same night, collecting the £5,000 Sky Poker Jackpot. I might be wrong, but I think he was the last player to won the FTJ outright.

    This might be some sort of record - LuckyDaveB won the Mini for the third time in 10 months. Anyone else ever done that? I can't recall it.

    SJspanky & splashies were 3rd & 4th.

    £1,500 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,500)

    comesee has been on one of those nasty downswings for 2 months, we all encounter them from time to time, hopefully this win will reverse the trend.

    Incidentally, it's 11.10am as I write this, & MisterPJ who even posts OTHER players bad beats now when he's not even in the hand, has not posted a single bad beat today. What price we go a whole day without one? Ladbrokes go 66/1, but be careful, it's an account killer.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,500)

    Perseverance is all. bampfers played 6 or 7 All In satellites to Quickdraw, won one eventually, & went on to take it down for almost £700. This was his biggest ever win here by a very long chalk.

    In doing so, he had to hold off the mercurial Doooobs, who had earlier run 4th in Sheriff, & Crushy.

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,500)

    This went to Potsnacker.

    When I saw that alias, I was insta reminded of that incredible situation on Absolute Poker back in 2007 involving POTRIPPER. I'd love to relate the tale but it might give Team Tin Hat some ammo, so I think I'll pass, but if you fancy a jaw dropping read, just google potripper poker.

    One of these days I'll maybe write a book about the ups & downs of poker, there really are some cool stories to be told.
