Why is everyone talking like Stars is the head honcho able to make all the decisions, aren't they just another subsidiary under Flutter same as Sky. Everyone and their dog was talking about the Stars/Sky merger but the Flutter one kind of didn't get the same response, even Sky/Tikay barely mention it, and IMO it's a much bigger deal (positively and negatively)

Not sure it's correct to say I've not mentioned it, I've done so on numerous occasions. And for those that missed it, here's an image which shows the main components of the newly enlarged Flutter;
Well, apologies then, shouldn't have bought your name into it, but still the general vibe I get is that people still feel Stars are at the head of the table and will be making the ultimate decision on the future of Sky, so somewhere down the line this hasn't been communicated as well it could've been.

You may well be right about communication, but the problem is it's a moving feast & all the pieces are still being put into place as to who is responsible for what. It's only been a few months since the deal was finalised, so there's been a lot of sorting to be done.
'Stars is a very high profile brand, everyone knows it, but "Flutter" is a fairly new name (well, the current version is), & does not appear as a Product in itself, so people are less familiar with it.
Stars are still world leader wrt to poker played on their site. Head Honcho might not be the right word but it's as close to the reality as anything else to do with Sky Poker's future, i fear.
With the CEO and the CFO of the merged group being from the Flutter side of the business I think that Flutter are the more dominant partner of the merged group. Flutter shareholders also own a greater portion of the new group than the StarsGroup shareholders. Whether or not this will make a difference for the future of SkyPoker is unclear at the moment, but the StarsGroup no longer have the free rein to implement their original plan for Sky poker since the merger with Flutter. It perhaps also explains the fact that nothing much has happened to Sky Poker as the Flutter / StarsGroup merger was only completed in May this year.

Since the deal was finalised, the entire Flutter Group have been organised into divisions which self-manage.
All the UK & Ireland facing Products are now in a single group, which is headed up by the Gentleman who was until 6 weeks ago the CEO of SB&G, & had been with SB&G in senior roles for many years. Ultimately, decisions as to Sky Poker sit within that division & under him & he remains very invested in Sky Poker.
For the most part, 'Stars sits in a completely separate division - "International".
Timescales? The sheer complexity of everything is what is taking the time, plus of course the 2nd change of ownership muddied the waters for a while & of necessity, due to Regulatory situations, caused a hiatus in forward planning whilst finalisation of the deal was awaited.
From what I know, I'd say the outlook is fine & dandy, & Sky Poker will be here & continue to operate under the existing Management for the foreseeable future.
Thanks for the additional update of where Sky Poker now sits within the merger group, the background of the person that heads up the division and the level of authority that he has to make on decisions regarding Sky Poker. It seems that this looks much more optimistic for those that like Sky poker as it is than might have been the case without the Flutter / Starsgroup merger. Of course groups always restructure from time to time, but at least the immediate future looks more promising from my perspective.

This is what I understood from some of your previous comments ...... and is GREAT NEWS
Can't wait to meet up at the NEXT SPT .......soon?? (this Year .....or next Year )
You may not be in a position to answer this, and understand if this is the case, but UK and Ireland players that played poker on the Flutter poker offering (not the UK and Ireland players that played on Stars), could these be redirected to Sky Poker to boost the player pool?

Yes, 'Stars sits in "International" (obvious when you think about it) & Sky Poker in the UK & Ireland division.

AFAIK, all the existing brands will continue. I'd imagine that rather than redirect players to the revamped Sky Poker, they will let nature take care of itself, & people will be free to decide to play where they most enjoy it.
If the Sky Poker product is much improved, it can be expected to grow organically anyway.

Sounds like a chocolate bar, or a new sanitary product.

From my limited knowledge, I expect SPT's to continue, though of course that's COVID permitting.
