Who won what, Tuesday 25th August. Do you know who I am?

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 168,756

Good morning.

""Do you know who I am? I am the captain of Manchester United, I am very rich, I can give you money, I can pay you, please let us go”".

The entire mainstream media are reporting that Harry Maguire said that. Well I'm no Maguire fan, far from it, & he's certainly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but there's no way he said that. Those sort of things are said by Sacha Baron Cohen, by villains in bad 1950's Ealing comedy's, or in e-Mails from Nigerian scammers. It's breathtaking how the Media expect us to buy all this nonsense. Was he really guilty? I have no idea, & I don't care. It just annoys me that the Media take us all for gullible fools. Sadly, reading the Maguire threads on Twitter, it seems many took it all at face value. I don't know why things like this annoy me so, but they do. On a lighter note, the terrace chants for Slab Head next season will be epic, assuming spectators get back in.

Back at base, it was a meh night really, some good, some not so good, with a dash of terrible thrown in. Most stuff was OK, with the Main just about covering & the £8,000 Summit coming in right on the number. The Mega Stack Guarantee was quietly slashed to £1,000 last night (from £1,500) & it made £1,100. Make what you will of that. But then came the Midnight Express, which has comfortably covered it's £1,500 tag almost every night - & it made £1,080, so missed by a whopping £420. That's not good, & I suspect Sky James will be scratching his head this morning.

£1,000 BH £1,100

£8,000 Gold Rush Main £8,220

£2,500 Gold Rush Mini £2,885

£1,000 Mega £1,080

£8,000 Summit £8,000

£2,000 Turbo £2,000

£1,500 Quickdraw £1,500

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,500

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,100)

After winning Quickdraw a few nights earlier, johnny_e made it 2 wins in 3 nights by adding the £1k BH. He's not high profile here, & never posted once on the Forum despite playing 15,000 MTT's over the 9 years he has been here, but he's always made solid profits. Well done Mr _E.

In 4th was Richrash93 who won Midnight Express earlier in the day.

TEXANT is another who flies under the Forum radar, he's made exactly ONE Forum Post & that was 11 years ago. Does very well though, & has had a few nice scores of late, including 2nd in both an £8k BH for £935 & Sharpy Main for £1,530. He made no mistake this time though & took the honours & £1,460.

    £2,500 Mini Gold Rush (£2,885)

The winner was 2nd in a Mini back in May, & this was his best result since, & probably a PB. It's easy to say "it's only the Mini", but to beat the fat end of 600 runners, or even come 2nd, takes a bit of doing.

If we count Midnight Express from "Monday" (Tuesday morning really) this was a 2nd win in the day for Richrash.

2nd was scotty, 3rd the in-form Fabraclass, with Percy Plonker aka @ctbn in 4th.

    £8,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£8,000)

    Exactly a week ago in the Daily Results Thread, I wrote;

"Mickey83 is one of those we don't feature often, but when we do he usually wins big. Took last night's Main for £1,660, his best score since 2nd in UKOPS 15 at the height of the boomlet, for which he netted over £5,000".

Prophetic words as it turned out, as he won Summit last night for another £1,700.

The FT was the usual suspects, but it's good to see fishhhhh continue to do so well, he won Quicky over the weekend & was 6th in this.

StayOrGo took this, no surprise there either.

2nd was Viva Las Vegas winner boggo, who was a Cathay Pacific Airlines pilot when I last saw him. Times are super tough in the Airline business, so fingers crossed he's still working.

A best ever result for the winner, well done Eagle1966. Cue rapturous applause which is another "Worst Pun of the Year" contender, though it won't beat Tuesday's entry which thankfully went un-noticed.

What a difference a day makes. MISTY bubbled this the previous night, so this must have felt super sweet.

I don't keep records, but most if not all of the other 4 were "dupes". Good money to be made in these Satellites even for those who already have seats.

    Finally....

I just wanted to congratulate @Duesenberg & @MattBates for that fabulous Poddy on Monday night which was wonderfully received, & I'm looking forward to more of the same. The Bates also wins the award for "Best Barrage Balloon" impression.

Anna Fowler declined the opportunity to appear on the basis that she was too intimidated by my good looks.

It definitely did, especially after bubbling with K-K on Monday night....... :)

Though to say I ran rather well would be the understatement of the Year ;)

I think this would have had 'our Friend' tearing his hair out .......if he has any left!

I'd even pay a few bob to listen to Tikay waffle, like one of those public speakers. They make a mint.
