Remember this was talked about years ago for older people on their own in the remote parts of the UK. Didn't think it was a good idea at the time and still not convinced.
Appears that we don't have the finances to pay for home carers or befrienders if family/friends are not available.
Would prefer to be put out to pasture than to only have a robot for a visitor if loneliness was a factor.
