Who won what, Saturday 12th September - & we have a popular Mini winner.

Morning.

What a wonderful start to the Premier League season, especially that Liverpool - Leeds thrill-a-minute affair. The whole game was played in excellent spirit, no play acting, no ditty play, just good attacking football by both sides. Lovely stuff. And can you believe that the FA Cup started yesterday?

In the F1 qualifying it was BAU, with the Hamilton - Bottas - Verstappen 1-2-3 which must have been an odds on shot. I do enjoy F1, but the dominance of Mercedes does rather spoil it. Today is the race, but for close battles, thrills & spills, try watching today's Moto GP. F1 bosses take note.

The Women's Golf was a great watch too, with Lexy Thompson just 2 shots off the lead.

My word, we are blessed to have so much wonderful sport these days.

OK, back to Sky Poker, & numbers were so-so last night, with all covering except Turbo & Quickdraw, which missed by a collective smidgen.

We had a very popular Mini winner, as you shall see.

chanceux has been here at least 10 years but rarely makes the headlines. He's hit some form now though, winning this & running 2nd in Friday's Reload. Well done Mr Chanceux, keep it going mate.

3rd was old CTBN, a most unlikely result, presumably he got lucky, with ItsOver4u 6th.

The winner has been quiet since he began the month with 6th in Gold Rush Main.

6th was the parasitic Cheekytick, who was a close up 3rd in Tuesday's Gold Rush.

On this day in 1993, Tupac Shakur was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas. He had been involved in some East-West coast rivalry with Notorious BIG, who suffered the same fate 9 months later. 2 lovely lads, never done a thing wrong according to their Mums.

An extraordinary story, which was fully covered in the recent & excellent Dr Dre documentary "Defiant Ones".

Well well well, what can I say, except I doubt we'll see a more popular Mini winner this year?

When I read the Coaching thread I can't help but think of guys like tomgoodun. He's no world-beater but he loves his poker, and most importantly, it's a break from the challenges life throws at him & his family. That's true of so many of us, we just want to have a bit of fun & enjoy our poker
& not take ourselves too seriously. It's folks like Tom that Sky Poker is all about.

Thanks for the kind words, I’ve missed being mentioned here 😊.
I don’t mind losing the odd 5er here and there to help with the poker ecology 😉., as long as now and again I win a few bob.
