Who won what, Saturday 19th September

Morning.

The US Open Golf took an unexpected turn yesterday, and a chap with the weirdest swing you ever saw suddenly leads by 5 strokes. Palace went up to Old Trafford & won, and there was a spectacular upset in the Tour de France. Don't you just love sport?

One of poker's great heroes died overnight, 2009 WSOP Main runner-up Darvin Moon, who was a truly humble & lovely man.

Back on Sky Poker, it was a disappointingly quiet Saturday evening, with a smattering of missed Guarantees, easily the worst of which was the £2,000 Sheriff which fell £450 short.

£1,000 BH £1,000

£8,000 Sharpshooter Main £8,000

£2,000 Sharpshooter Mini £2,485

£1,000 Mega £1,300

£2,000 Sheriff £2,000

£1,500 Turbo £1,710

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,050

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,540

    BrayCorp83 has made 6 or 7 headline MTT finals this week but I think this was the first win. About time too Mr 83.

    4th & 6th respectively were Formosina & RUTSTER19, both of whom are currently in sparkling form.

    £8,000 Sharpshooter (£8,000)

    The Sharpy went to duncan1979, who ran 2nd in the £8,000 BWBH 3 weeks ago.

    4th was NOSTRI, & this must be one of his best results for some time. He cashes in all sorts but I don't recall him having a better result in the last month or two. Well done him.

    £2,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,485)

    The Mini went to one of the strangest aliases on the site, or04, who was returning after a one week MTT sabbatical. In the unlikely event he reads this, we'd be interested to know what the alias represents, it's a real odd one.

    On the subject of aliases, 4 of the 6 final tablists had an alias beginning with B. Eat your heart out SWITA & your factoids.

    @or04 4970000 1 £310.62 + £79.76 Head Prizes 13

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,300)

    Mega went the way of toonarm775, surely a Newcastle United fan. At least he's won something.

    In 4th was hoban01 who has had a few decent scores recently, & has aspirations to get on the Sharky Sky Poker MTT leaderboard. Nothing wrong with ambition, GL my friend.

    4th was -Smoothe_ who has won Hitman Main twice (so far) this year, with serial cashee Formosina 6th.

    Just missing the FT but making a bit of profit was Grumpy Paul.

    £2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,000)

    Remarkably - or perhaps not, as we know he is well handy - Sharki0 was winning Sheriff for the 2nd time in 3 nights.

    2nd was pacman821, who won Monday's Main.

    A lovely result, perhaps his best ever, for giftedgav.

    In 4th was bromley04, who had a very deep run in SPT Online. His beloved Burnley travel to Leicester tonight, so we may not see him Online for the Sunday biggies.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,050)

    Regular readers will know I'm always pleased to see Doooobs do well, but there's something of an oddity here. The prize pool was £1,050, & he collected £553 of it, which is 53% of the total prize pool. I don't keep records of these things but it must be pretty unusual to win such a high % of the total money on offer. A small field - just 21 entries - and he took 8 heads, which is 40% of the opposition, so those 2 factors contributed. Even so, are there many examples of a player winning over 50% of an MTT Prize Pool here?

    @Doooobs 105000 1 £262.50 + £290.62 Head Prizes 8

    @willwiniam 0 2 £157.50 + £18.75 Head Prizes 1

    @pizzled1 0 3 £105 + £103.13 Head Prizes 5

    @THETANK 0 4 £56.25 Head Prizes 3

    @ozzieowen 0 5 £18.75 Head Prizes 1
